Hi guys,

For those driving the new vios G, wonder what do you guys install on the edge of the door entry.  With the biege carpet exposed, it's really a dirt magnet.  Wonder why is the biege plastic guard installed by Toyota isn't full length to the other end?

user posted image
*
hmm. what do you mean by the other end?
isnt the carpet suppose be on the floor rather than on the wall as pointed by the arrows in your image?

@denzel, he's talking about the protector close to the right edge of the picture. The protector is supposed to cover the whole length of the door side so to prevent dust accumulation

ok, a positive update.

send my car to subang SC for roof insulation at 8am, received a call at 12.30pm saying it's done.

immediately tested with heavy rain, so far so good, less noisy now.

ya, less noisy.

when we knock on the roof, the hollow effect is reduced.

What did you all say to the SC in order to get the roof insulation installed? Just walk into the SC and tell them "Eh, my roof noisy, fix it"? Hahaha. Seems like every one got their roof insulated.

call to complaint that the roof very noisy.. then they will ask you to set appointment... for them to check if the roof really hollow. once confirmed, they will arrange another appointment for the insulation installation~

Typical Toyota SC pattern... weekend is only for normal service. laugh.gif

Hey glad to hear you guys getting your roof complaint attended to, is there any improvement?

Sadly in my case here in Miri, I was told they need to speak to UMW KL first, and their technicians doing insulation need to be trained (yes, training!) beforehand. With all these crap excuses tai chi here and there, I have yet to get my roof insulated, and I've been waiting for almost a month already. Same excuses for the lower arm spare part, I got to wait.

@drakzero, that's right, that protector cover.
At times there's dirt accumulation which is really to come off. vmad.gif

internally, Toyota Malaysia had distributed memo to all service centre on the roof insulation and RH engine mounting issue.

by right, they should have received it...
