UK or US English don't really matter.Since our English follows UK English, then set UK English as default.
But too bad, OK Google in KitKat only allows US English.

QUOTE(putera_imranz @ Jan 8 2014, 02:17 PM) Hi guys, Been using Xiaomi ROM on my S3 for the past 5 months.Have you heard about Xiaomi phone before? How about MIUI ROM? Please refer here for more info : http://www.xiaomi.com/en/about Xiaomi has been producing phones since last few years including Mi-1s, Mi-2, Mi-2a, Mi2s, Hongmi and the latest one Mi-3. Please refer here http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?sQuic...es&sName=xiaomi . Without doubt, their products among the best Android phones out there but unfortunately their phones sold only in China. Hugo Barra, former Google VP in charge of Android, has just made it official on his Google+ page that Xiaomi phone is coming to Singapore, with "details coming soon..." I want to ask you guys, let say IF Xiomi phones come to Malaysia: 1) Which system languages should they include in their ROM for Malaysia? 2) Which language should be the default, and what is the order in which they should display them all in the startup screen? 3) What other features do u expect should come with Xiaomi phones? I love to hear your opinions. Do reply here pls I'm asking this questions because most of us using Android phone and some of us already used MIUI ROM on their Android phone p/s : We already setup a group to translate MIUI ROM from English to Malay. Please refer here The results of this Survey will be submitted to Xiaomi Here's my feedback: 1) English (US & UK), Malay, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Tamil. Optional is Vietnamese, Thai, Hindi, Urdu (if they want to penetrate the not inconsiderable lower end of the market) 2) English US. We may be a former British Colony, but srsly these days most people are used to US English anyways 3) Some of their cloud directory stuff looks potentially really useful but needs to be customized to our local numbers |

1) English. Malay.
2) English UK, although many set US as the default. 3) - Qiblat direction. - Some hardware/app that can project whatever is being displayed on the phone to the targeted screen/area. App-wise, something like Nokia Beamer? - An instant @ on-the-fly visual translator? (using the phone's cam) Useful if u're in a foreign country with foreign language/text u can't understand. ENGLISH & MANDARIN 2) Which language should be the default, and what is the order in which they should display them all in the startup screen? ENGLISH of course 3) What other features do u expect should come with Xiaomi phones? highly rootable and developer friendly, run pure aosp rom like nexus device, with higher spec than nexus device. then it's a instant win for me. also price between 1500 - 2000. for a unknown brand here, they got to be priced aggresively |
