hi fellow forumer...
thinking on building WWII warship...never tried on warship before...need some advice 1. how's the flow on building and painting the ship? 2. i'm thinking: dry fitting > assemble and glue > undercoat > paint the ship. or is there method that i miss out? any feedback is really appreciated |

QUOTE(limfreelance @ Jun 23 2014, 12:08 PM) nice f18, the only hard part for jet is the sealant/putty the gap line between upper body & lower body , & hydraulic wheel part. yes..i agree..so far gaps on this hasegawa are forgiving... wheel part needs to be strong and sturdy.. and BTW, these came in the mail today... wanna try out something new.. not sure when will able find time to complete these » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

from HLJ if IJN carriers, scale 1/700 cost around RM70~80..shipping around RM30+ for EMS if online shop from HK, i think cost would be a little bit lower.. This post has been edited by '62jaguar: Jun 23 2014, 03:54 PM |

QUOTE(Khai62 @ Jun 23 2014, 04:34 PM) There this one for example: bro khai,http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ43028/Nav but shipment could be more around 40-60 for this using EMS. i notice cot difference between fujimi and tamiya...just small diff... maybe fujimi a little heavier.. maybe pit road kit got many extra stuff..this one can build full hull...
this tamiya carrrier quite light...only 300gm++..but only waterline http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10183387 BTW, you can try SAL (registered) to keep the shipping cost down and avoid kastam.. This post has been edited by '62jaguar: Jun 23 2014, 05:01 PM |

QUOTE(Khai62 @ Jun 24 2014, 01:56 AM) Just be prepare to handle much more small stuff, it took me 3 hour just to assemble 9 planes. really respect ship builders...especially 1/700 scale...![]() Maybe but tamiya with shipping is much more expensive than fujimi with shipping. those planes and guns...all small and tiny stuff... hope i don build onli half way... hihi..yeah..at the end tamiya are more expensive |

QUOTE(nazrul90 @ Jun 26 2014, 05:09 PM) it would be easier to paint and put the decal on planes 1st before you glue them gonna try assemble 1st and then paint...also Khai62 you also dont paint it 1st too? or you gonna leave the planes unpainted? if really tricky, will abandon the planes...will try your method for another set of float planes |
