When I apply SP I use cellophon-tape to get rid of dust specks near the edge, my phone now has perfectly applied SP |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jan 11 2014, 10:45 PM) Not sure difference of Slim Armor and your Ultra Hybrid. Nillkin package comes with all kind of tools you need ( wet wipe, dry wipe, anti static sticker ), good value. QUOTE(jackal75 @ Jan 11 2014, 11:11 PM) thanks, will search for it in garage |

no matter what SP, it'll scratch if there's sand
sand hardness is 9, just below diamond which is 10, metal i think is 7 or 8 anyways, want to shre with you guys some backplates I made for my Spigen Ultra Hybrid I got the template from XDA Upper Left 1 is the one that came with Ultra Hybrid Upper Left 2 is the one I made without template » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Upper Right is the one I made with template from XDA I noticed that the camera cut out by the XDA template is too high, you can see it below » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « so I made some changes Bottom 4 are those I made after removing the camera cutout from the XDA template, after printing it out I overlay the Spigen plate over them and cut out the opennings myself turned out OK » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « edit: link fixed This post has been edited by Tsukiyomi001: Jan 12 2014, 07:11 PM |

QUOTE(faiz293 @ Jan 12 2014, 07:59 PM) Did u use the photo glossy paper to print? Without the template, i think its easy enuf to just follow the backplates that comes with the cover rite? just 70g A4 paper, can fit 3 on 1 A4At last....someone who made me feel better without glass sp.. Btw, anyone here using the franco's s2w n dt2w feature? They say it will significatly reduce ur batt, is it true? My wife is using lg g2, she have that function on stock n its not really an issue. it's not hard, just that with template you can see the results before you print them, without template needs more guess work and you might get some parts wrong ie you print a picture of a girl only to find out her face is at the camera hole s2w/dt2w costs me 3%/hr on stand by, without those I'm at 1%/hr, YMMV This post has been edited by Tsukiyomi001: Jan 12 2014, 08:18 PM |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jan 13 2014, 12:50 AM) Am getting bad battery life, roughly 15% drop over sleep. Cant stand anymore, so decided to undervolt. Now reduced by 75mV, gonna observe for tonite. Anyone goes even further ? Mine is max -50mVIMHO, wakelocks kill your battery faster than voltage, try using betterbatterystats to identify those apps and services causing wakelocks, or put your phone into airplane mode when you sleep |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jan 13 2014, 08:32 PM) When it comes to Maxis vs Umobile debate, there is no math involved. Maxis' speed and LTE coverage is simply MUCH BETTER than UMobile. I hate it that I get zero data coverage in Mid Valley and KLCC using UMobile QUOTE(QuickFire @ Jan 13 2014, 09:18 PM) I was on umobile U28 postpaid plan on my iPhone 4 before my Nexus 5 and the coverage was just bad. Somehow under my Nexus 5 it seems to have improved a lot. Disconnects happen a lot less I think. Not sure coincidence or some placebo effect haha. wow, and I thought it was only me that doesn't get signal at MV & KLCC, it's the city center Btw I can get up to 15Mbps speeds on my U28 plan, and even after I hit my quota according to the SMS I get, I'm still able to hit 5Mbps. How much faster is Maxis or even Umobile LTE? 15Mbps is adequately fast I think. Oh another pesky but minor thing that you sifus may know. How come my friends say I'm online in Facebook when I'm not? I only have the Facebook app installed, not the FB messenger app. Even when I close the app it shows I'm online... and I get poor data at sunway, even though it's supposed to be under umobile LTE coverage thanks to both sifu, i'll survey more on hotlink, most likely will jump ship |

Guys, wanna ask something about matte screen protectors
Do you find that matte screen protectors affect the clarity and sharpness of the screen? From my previous experience on Samsung i9000, I find that there will be colour artifacts and reduced sharpness if I put on a matte SP |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Jan 17 2014, 04:13 PM) QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Jan 17 2014, 04:45 PM) My theory on matte (and so-called anti-fingerprint) SP is that, it prevents fingerprints to develop as it consists of layer(s) of material to absorb the oil on your hand. As you use it more and more, the screen will develop smudges and thus affect the clarity and sharpness, i see, thanks for sharing the knowledgebtw, is there any app that ultilizes the barometer in our N5? |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jan 17 2014, 09:46 PM) Oh, so that's why my phone stops registering my wordsAnother problem: I'm using a 3rd party keyboard (Multiling), and if I disable Google voice typing, a popup that says “Google voice not available” will keep appearing, but if i enable it, it sometimes opens Google voice as default instead of the 3rd party keyboard Is there anyway I can prevent 1. The popup notification from appearing of I disable Google voice? 2. Google voice from opening as default input method? |

I'm using multiling, has the languages I need, swipe input, configurable size, special characters, gesture control, best keyboard I've used
Only problem is the customization options might be overwhelming for some people |

it had it since i got N5, dead trigger 2 also
editted: erm, maybe because i don't use the navigation bar (i use LMT launcher) so i didn't notice much difference between then and now, read up a bit and it seems that immersive mode hides navigation bar, so maybe only recently did asphalt 8 got it This post has been edited by Tsukiyomi001: Jan 22 2014, 12:23 AM |
