Remembered custom launcher can put persistent search bar, but not sure if it had always listen function or not.

happens randomly though. my habit is to always use the back button to get back to homescreen instead of the home button. so during the transition, it might "show" other apps such as WeChat, FKU, Browser for a sec and then back to home screen eventhough i pressed the back button once.. Seems like I am the only one facing this issue as XDA shows nothing on this.  Will try to troubleshoot more.

Does any of the custom roms have Photosphere baked in the default camera app? Or can I manually install it?

as far I know only samsung device add video call function but not for rest by default. as google don't support it. why you still need or asking this question today? I agree with rest of vendor not wasting their time to add this function. In additional, our data plan also affordable now for you to make a video call via various of free apps available.
if refer to previous cycle, 1 vendor for 2 gen of nexus phone; so next nexus phone I vote for sony. since google already committed keep improving camera quality. RAW support on next, I believe google also need better hardware such as camera lens and sensor vendor support.

u have to understand why google set their photosphere so low in res, it's because they want ppl to upload them to their database, mainly, google maps and they want more people to use street view function.  i have been an uploader of photospheres since the function became available and most of them are viewed more than 1000 times, if the file size of photosphere became too big, i wouldn't have done this so many times and people would refrain from viewing them especially with their phones because of the heavy data usage to load them.

yes, google can set the resolution much higher and then compress them during upload just like what facebook did with photos, but it would take more time to do so with a high res photosphere than a normal photo and it would defeat the purpose of encouraging people like me to spend more time taking and uploading them.  maybe in the future they can do this, maybe they are working on it right now but photosphere still works quite well with low res even now.

for people who are not familiar about photosphere and how large the database is, u can download SPHERESHARE on the play store and take a look (u can even do this in your desktop).  people takes amazing photospheres even when they are low res.  if u love the photospheres on SPHERESHARE, u can even purchase the PRO version and download them into your phone.  it is quite lovely.

hi, my unit is non-rooted. this is my second android phone after HTC G1, so wont be rooting the device anytime soon. I think it was confirmed from online sources that ART is draining more battery overnight. I will do a factory reset if switching back to Dalvik wont work.
