Does anyone know if Nike Japan brick & mortar stores have Nike Shox in stock or I will have to order online? I hope they have in store so I don't have to do an online order and wait 4 weeks >_<

lol.... not that packed. it's doable. Day 2 abit rush for you only. if u drop Kaiyukan, then no problem. since you stay namba, go Shinsekai first then Shinsaibashi.
on your Day 3, there is a faster bus route connect kinkakuji and ginkakuji. pls check bus map and the bus direction.

oh yeah i mixed up Shinsekai and Shinsaibashi laugh.gif

Kinkakuji and Ginkakuji can take bus #204 right? tongue.gif

Also, would it be faster to take bus direct from Kyoto station or just go to Kitooji and take the bus from there?

Direct vs transfer hmm.gif

Why not skip kansai area since you are flying to Tokyo and from Tokyo? Just do day trips from Tokyo instead of trying to cram in kansai IMO.
Osaka to Kobe less than 1 hour train, if you are foodie then worth the trip to go just to eat then back biggrin.gif
*
I wanted to skip Kansai altogether and just focus on Kanto. Too bad I'm the only one in the group of 5 who thinks like this sad.gif

nope... not 204. You should take the 102 express bus. see the map, 102 has the lesser dot, http://www.city.kyoto.jp/koho/eng/access/i...eigo-rosenn.pdf

notworthy.gif notworthy.gif many thanks.

i guess to get to Kinkakuji I'll take the train to Kitaooji then take bus 101/102/204/205. Then try to get bus 102 to Ginkakuji icon_rolleyes.gif

you could try bmobile's Visitor SIM card if you really need it though http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/english/purchase.html

So last saturday i had a 5 and a half hour queue for sushi dai at tsukiji..

Stupid and stubborn, i know.. im bad at cutting losses and call it quit.

sad.gif

But i did enjoyed the food. And the conversations with people queuing too.. there was a group of marketing/advertisement people from Apple HQ there as well.

Wow this is getting more and more ridiculous. I went once in 2011 (1.5hr queue), once in 2013 (4.0hr) ... now already 5.5hr? Crazy.
*
rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

i planning to wake up at 3.30am then join the queue by 4.30am. still need 1 hour+? if longer than 2 hours i think i'll just go eat at daiwa instead sweat.gif

we went to Kyoto for 2 days, totally not enough time to see all the places.

we wasted a lot of time finding our way in Kyoto Station (which is HUGE and totally confusing at first), for people who don't have much time visiting Kyoto, I recommend just take taxi if the place you plan to go isn't too far
*
laugh.gif i took the buses there. much more convenient except the 2nd day when I went to Fushimi Inari. used the Nara line there

taxi quite expensive IMO sweat.gif

shinjuku for me not a problem..signage is clear..shibuya one so many levels, while tokyo station is the worst coz need to walk from one end to another...some more that time pulling big luggage  sweat.gif
*
in shinjuku station, some signage not clear enough. like signage for east exit going to west exit, it will bring you towards nishishinjuku station then no more signage for west exit
