Monday 21/04 too packed. Hakone itself deserve 1 full day, best is overnight with onsen experience. Kawaguchi of course is good spot for Mt Fuji, since u havent plan for Tue, do kawaguchi lake on Tue. Get Fuji Hakone Pass. from kawaguchi station, u can take the bus back to shinjuku.

Monday 28/04.... HUH? pls rearrange pls, and too many events d.

Overall, pls refer to map for planning as i can see u are travelling many unnecessary route.

just my 2cent.
*
yea.. planning to stay a night in Hakone.. didnt mention in my draft yet..

I have few days not planned yet so most probably split up some of the itenary on Monday 28/04 to other days..
yes, currently only first draft.. will re-arrange the travelling again..
Actually wanted to know any other place that i can fit in or places of interest that i have missed?

To note you need to make reservations for the romance car so need to at least buy the pass the day before.

Abit all over the place imo. What I did in the end when I was in the planning phase is to group all the attractions i want to go according to location and time needed. Then take out the metro map circle out the stations to stop to go to the attractions. This makes it was easier to plan out the itinerary.

As some attractions are closed on certain days you can put a foot note and keep that in mind when planning

Another thing to note is that it's possible to get the train from haneda to shinjuku when you land. If I could do it being a first timer anyone can. Risky for sure but it was exciting haha

As for suggestions, fuji f fujio museum in kawasaki if you're a doraemon fan. Didnt regret going there. Dorayaki was awesome
*
haha.. i know it is all over the place..

i'll try to see if i can get a train from haneda to shinjuku or not but i feel it is wasted if i pay for hotel for the night. preferably to just sleep somewhere or go to first cabin..

anyway, any attractions thats happening only on weekends? or weekends are too busy to be in shinjuku/shibuya?
If so, i'll arrange to go to hakone over the weekends..

I have checked out japaneseguesthouses.com and the prices are similar in Hakone and also Mt Fuji..

Maybe people don't wanna be near Aokigahara (Suicide Forest) at the foot of Mt Fuji. I heard that area is pretty haunted.

Another reason is, you will get a better view of Mt Fuji from a distance.
*
ohh.. yea..
i think hakone area is more convenient in terms of transportation..

Can recommend me some ryokan with private onsen? all i find so far have public baths only..
i remember seeing travelling program and they have this private onsen + meal and it looks really relaxing..

When you say private, means you have the whole onsen in your room? If yes, easily can cost you at least 25,000yen/day/person. The previous one I stay in have a public and private onsen. THe private onsen can be rented per 30mins and first come first serve. That cost me 30,000yen/day/person inclusive of breakfast and dinner
*
yes.. it will be around MYR1000 and I'm OK with it.
25,000 yen = MYR785.60 which is OK and within MYR1000.

But those I find are above MYR1000 and can't find others really.. mostly public baths..
and those private rented onsen are limited, afraid it might get booked by someone else.. cuz i'm only staying for a day..

i'm booking 21/04 - 22/04 .. not sure if that is peak season or not? i guess not.. golden week is a week later..

*
so did u go to your hotel or stay in airport?
Im thinking of just staying in airport and take the first train out to shinjuku or other places.. but then if enough time, it might just be better to book a hotel..

True word......Rubbish
Specially that Going Hakone Part.  Rubbish.

If you take Romance Car.  It will go all the way to Hakone Yumoto Station already.  Why need get down at Odawara Station?

If you not buying 5000Yen Hakone Pass at Shinjuku Station.  Romance Car one way will cost you 2100Yen not 870Yen.  870Yen are the additional price if you have that 5000Yen Hakone Pass.

Shinjuku Station counter sell Hakone Pass at 10am Morning Only.

Hakone Yumoto > Moto-Hakone (Hakone Shrine) > Hakone-Machi ....Which Bus have to Take?    Tell me the Bus Number?
Dunno?  Mean your Home work is not even complete.
*
oooh.. good input...
Still thinking to go Odarawa for the freepass or buy it at shinjuku..
so if 5000+870 = 5870
If to go Odarawa for freepass will be 3900+2100(romance car) = 6000
Therefore cheaper by 130Yen, am I correct?

What time is the freepass selling in Odawara? same time at 10am?

Yes, now you got the point.

Actually.. save Yen130 = MYR4

Anything to do in Odawara? Or only Odawara castle?
Or I save more time to go straight to Hakone from Shinjuku?
The freepass counter open the same time at 10am as well?

2014 Japan Golden Week
26 April to 11 May
You Travel Date was inside these date.

Chances you can sit on Romance Car are 50% only.  You need backup plan which is Local Train from Shijuku to Hakone.
50% chances because still not in Golden Holiday.  If Golden Holiday.  Your Romance Car dream are 0%

Due to Holiday.  If you cannot reach Tsukiji at 5.30Am.  You can forget those Sushi shop.

Normal Time u need Q for few Hour....Golden Holiday Time..you need triple of that time.
No way you cna try all 3 sushi shop at Tsukiji. Becasue the time you waste at Q.  You reach 2nd shop already closed down.

Due to Golden Holiday....Reach Airport much earlier.  Because so much people. Airport will be very crowded and very chaos.  Check in early and Go Pass the custom check ASAP.  The Line will be very long Q also.
Plan wisely
*
Golden week on 26? I thought 28th.. or start on the weekend already?
Local train can use the Suica card right?

The Tsukiji sushi, im not gonna visit all 3.. one of the 3 since it is recommended.. if cannot get any of these 3, any sushi restaurant will do.. im not gonna waste time queueing up for more than 3 hours.. not worth it..

But my arrival is on 20th.. a week before golden holiday.. hope it is still ok..
but i guess my weekend will be huge crowd.. that's y i plan to visit nearby places...

@RegentCid
Is my tokyo visit route OK? tried my best to plan the way for each area.. not sure if i can squeeze some more area or not.. or miss out any..
