Are you guys with the weather around end of this month, I'm going to Nagoya and Tokyo for 6 days around 21st and realized that it'll be a rainy week, temp around 18 - 23. Is it gonna be humid like Malaysia or I have no worries getting sweaty from walking around for hours?

I've planned to go and visit Shirakawago from Nagoya but I realised the journey to there is pretty long(nagoya to takoyama then bus to Shirakawago). Seems to me that its like a whole day trip. Is it really worth going?

Why not rent a car? Nagoya to Shirakawa-go is only 2 hours 15 mins by car. You can rent a small car for around 5000 yen a day from Nissan Rentalcar @ Tocoo.

Do we need like international license to drive..now it seems like more fun to drive around JP..

Yes, just bring your Msian driving license to JPJ and they'll issue you a 1 year international for RM180?

Driving around Japan is quite relaxing once you get out of the cities, roads are empty and the traffic moves fast.

Thanks for the suggestion its tempting but i dont have the time to go jpj my trip's next week already.

My plans are like this:

Day 1: Nagoya
Day 2-4: Tokyo
Day 5: Nagoya side trip(Takayama/Gifu)
Day 6: Morning around Nagoya before going to Chubu for flight back in the evening

So shirakawago is kinda like out of the question as it would take me one whole day. T.T

Takayama also got those Unesco houses like shirakawago.
Aiyaa mean you not doing much homework enough la.

Takayama Station west exit....walk facing west about 20 minute and you will reach Takayama version Shirakawago
*
Yea i must admit i havent done enough homework for this trip. Getting nervous and excited at the same time.

Thank you for the advice. For tokyo im going to take the hakone free pass as opposed to go straight to the fuji 5th station place i think its a better view from the foot of the hill isnt it.

Dai mean Big.  But some shop they used big bowl only but noddle portion are same.  Bigger the bowl then it faster cool down the noodle and soup.  Easy for you to eat.
*
Its really big but maybe coz they put a lot of taugeh in the noodles...my gf can only finish half and shes the only girl there.

Anyway will be checking out Nagoya Castle and Tsuruma Park for afternoon before Sakae area at night.. smile.gif
