Osaka namba is one big station. I got lost trying to locate the information center! Just found that it's really a handicap when one doesn't speak jap. Most jap hardly speak a word of English . Thier railway line is comprehensive but yet confusing to foreigners.

i have been to jp lots of time, and i myself never know what normal ppl would buy as souvenirs for colleagues n friends(large number) at home.

i usually just buy manfuku/multiflavorkitkat/meidocookies.. for family i buy green tea..
buying bunch of keychains just cost too much..

Just proceed as planned and don't bother asking here. I see some jokers trying to be arrogant telling others not doing their homework bla bla bla. They could have chosen not to answer instead of being arrogant.

Anyway what's nice for the fellow might not be nice for your kid. As a kid i'm pretty sure they would like the idea of visiting a castle cruising on a small boat and experience some other stuff where adult would not enjoy.

+1! I read the few versions of this thread also dont have much info on Osaka. More on Tokyo!

Sure rclxms.gif Speaking to the Japanese shouldn't be a problem right?

Yes, the scenery  wink.gif Autumn-winter in Sydney was amazing, just got back last week. Spent 6 days there.
Wanna try Japan around 6 days too! But not too soon.

Cut the crap river cruise, frerris wheel , santa cruise and spa shit.  All wasting money and time

Why is that so? If one purchase a one day osaka pass that cost 600-800yen , the river cruise, santa maria are FOC. Santa maria cruise is nice where one can tour the osaka bay with great scenery.
