Hahaha. Thats because in Malaysia we are too pampered. When we look for parking in Mall it have to be near an entrance. But then we can really be blame due to the hot weather and security. I am sure you feel very safe walking around comapre to KL

Anyone at here been travel alone to japan? Can share the experience??

Just got back from osaka.
Yeah last week i went there alone.
One thing i can say is transport is not a problem there. Most station got english translation sign. And understanding the system isn't that hard. Also i think walking is the best way to experience the city.
Dont worry about safety, japan street is very safe.

So far all the Japanese i met is very friendly. So dont be shy to ask a round. I stay at hostel, so most of the receptionist can speak basic english.

One idea is to try get a japanese friend to guide u around. Try finding one using couchsurfing. I use it last time when i was in Vietnam. Its an easy way to get japanese Friend that know english.

U got plan to go alone? I spend less then rm 2k include food. I was there around 8 days. Photo maybe later. Working now. Haha

Again I think up to ur priority. If u are there for the food, of course u need bigger budget.

wow so cheap only 2k? notworthy.gif

i was planning on a budget of maybe 5k total (per person), that's because i really like to eat, lol

we will be staying in apartments, 6 pax, averaging RM100 / person / night in accommodations, 10 days 9 nights. Osaka - Tokyo - Osaka.

JR pass + accommodations already close to 2k. I'm preparing to spend RM150 per day on food alone, that means almost 1.5k on food for the entire trip. Misc cost like taxi / bus tickets etc RM500, RM200 for Disney ticket. still got few hundred spare as standby.

About eat I thought very expensive before I when to Tokyo and Osaka. I prepare 1000 yen for each meal but actually used 500 - 700 yen for each meal. But some meal can go for expensive too smile.gif

500-800yen is average and love every meal i've had during my time in Japan last year. foods in many major train stations also not bad and reasonable priced. the most expensive food i have spent is the sushi in tsukiji fish market. it was so good that i went there twice in 1 trip.

EDIT: actually the yakiniku i have tried in Osaka also not cheap but again, it was so good

we want to visit Tokyo Disney because it's considered the best Disney in the world. It will be a waste not to visit there at least once in a lifetime. also, Universal Studio Singapore also got, although quite different, but it's nothing special. Disney is special to most of us who grows up in the 80s

You won't go wrong with the Japanese food.

I am now missing grilled oyster and eel rice from miyajima, okonomiyaki from osaka, yakuniku from osaka and shinjuku, sushi from tsukiji fish market, dinner & breakfast provided by ryokan in hakone, grill steak rice in shinjuku, yakuniku from osaka and shinjuku, green tea parfait from kyoto, etc

Never regret on every money I've spent for foods over there. Just that I don't have enough stomach space to fit more like pablo cheese cake from osaka

You have to decide whether you want thrill rides or relive your childhood memories. Many (me included) choose Disneysea because it is the only Disneysea in the world. However, has less Disney theme compared to Disneyland itself. In other words, no magic. Forget Cinderella, Snow White, etc

If you have been to other Disneylands, then probably you might wanna try Disneysea this time
