Expensive. If more than RM1000 without baggage and other add on not worth it. Like RM1300, add few more hundred can get MAS already.

I got MAS for RM1380.

Errr you all going when? March as well? March is a peak period for Japan so naturally prices are crazy for that period. If during summer then much easier to get cheaper prices.

So, just wondering. Is it worth waiting for Matta Fair to get flight tickets or is it already too late by then?

I bought it online during August MATTA Fair last year. Just be hardworking to check different airlines time to time.

For example, SIA (SQ) doing 1800-1900 promo quite often, which is cheaper compared to MAS full price RM2400-2600.

like taikor regentcid mentioned, you really should go to Nara, if for nothing else but to let your kids feed the deer.

Just back from Japan ago.
yes, took the advice and went to Nara, The deer park and Tadoaji Temple is awesome.
Both my kid and mother in-law like it. Spend the last day morning there and adjourned to Kaiyukan Aquarium. Deer feeding was of course the highlight

Aquarium was awesome for the kids too- with seal and dolphin feeding (try to go around 2-3pm). There is penguin too. sea creatures and fishes were lively too, and in large quantity.

On the other hand, Universal studio was rather disappointing if compared to one in Singapore. Most ride are outdated, Backdraft? Jaws? is more than 10 year old movie! Jurasic Park suppose to be fun, but close on the day.
Spent over Rm 2000 for ticket alone for 4 adults+2 kids, with the express pass.
The ending parade was excellent though... got displace of light and music.

We had a day in Kyoto, mistake was to start the journey late- reach Arashimaya there like 11.00am when it started to be warm. It was long walk and we take the river boat ride- and only manage to go to the "gold temple" before it got dark and everyone exhausted. Yes- make sense to spend a night there but again, packing luggage and changing hotel wasn''t an option for us

Many thanks to everyone giving advise for the trip.
Had good memory to the place, and respect the people for their discipline and cleanliness.
it is so clean that they took care of their trash, and trash bin is really a rare sight.

Not easy to find halal food in Japan. The way they kill the fish , chicken , beef are not ''doa'' before so it won't consider halal right? So just makan sahaja
Most of Sushi rice are cooked with Vinegar not rice wine.
In Japan 99% Ramen soup are cooked with pork bone.
