haha..okay..not so worried because i plan to buy at counter..then giving myself about 45 mins window to walk towards the platform, buy bento..

if i depart from osaka at 4pm train, will reach tokyo around 6.30pm..go check in etc..i should be able to start exploring by 8pm. what do you suggest i do in ueno at night?

No people go Ueno at night. 80% shop at Ueno closed at 20:00 including restaurant too.
Night time must go Odaiba // Kabukicho

BTW, 70% shop at Tokyo closed at 20:00

that's why..cant go kabuchio go will be with family and will be going to odaiba on the last day...are the shops inside train stations open?

Only 7-11 or Family mart or dawson still open inside train Station after 20:00
Most of Big Station underground walk passage will have Uniqlo. It open until 22:00

Malaysia got the world fastest imigration system. But most malaysian dun want used it.
Malaysian leaving country or back to Malaysia just need slot the passport in machine and scan fingerprint only.
