So I've been searching online since Christmas, and still have not found a way to buy this game in Malaysia. The Square Enix store won't sell it to me, neither will Amazon or green man gaming. On all the websites I've always registered with a Malaysian address. Can someone please explain all the proper steps to buy this game? I would prefer to buy a digital download.

1) What website should I use?
2) If I use a fake address, what country should I pretend to be in?
3) How do I pay the monthly subscription fee?

Hope you guys can offer some advice, I would love to start playing this game. Oh, by the way, how is the latency in KL/PJ? Does it lag in game?

If you were to buy a digital copy you would have to use a fake address, unfortunately SE take into consideration the throng of South East Asian players that would be subscribing into this game thus making life just a little more difficult for people like us.

Latency wise its playable if you're from SEA, between 70 - 110 ish on the JP server. If you'd prefer NA it'll be around 180-220 unless you're using a tunneling program

okay Righteous Rue. The guy had a query on ways he could acquire the digital copy of the game, methods of payment , general inquiries of the state of the servers and posted up a thread about it. Doesn't sound wrong to me (?)

If the OP wants to create a new thread to make an inquiry, he can do so as he wishes. As would the hundreds of threads below buried below making inquiries on matters that you've nonchalantly covered in your sticked posts. Some people would take the time to read them, some don't. That's not for you to decide.

Thanks to all who answered to this thread. I finally bought a digital copy from worldofcdkeys and managed to download and install the game. The reason I started a new thread was because all the older threads were more than 6 months old, and by now most stores (checked midvalley, tropicana and one utama) are out of stock of the game. I thought maybe they closed up all the loopholes to buying the game that worked when the game was first launched.
Anyway, the game is super pretty, and the combat effects are nice and flashy but I'm getting quite a poor latency playing on a JP server (around 400+). Are any of you using tunneling services? Are there any that are good with a reasonable price?

welcome milo!.. You can try Battleping and see if it helps. Its about 7 USD per month but before you make the purchase take the trial and see if it makes a difference for you. Alternatives are WTFast and Smoothping. GL in Eorzea !

Note: Also If you're looking for a japanese server with *mostly* English speaking players, try Tonberry or Masamune

That's weird, JP server latency should be 100-200ms around there leh.
