I don't think that receiving the AUO panel would be unfortunate, according to what i've seen in the xda thread they both still look pretty good head-on. They both have their own qualities and i don't think one is better than the other.
*
Perhaps unfortunate isn't the right word. But its a bit of a gamble in case you've got the worst of the worst with blue-ish tint. But even some in xda say that their brightest screen setting isn't quite as bright as JDI's.

Ohh I forgot about the blue-ish tint, well I guess there's that then. But the brightness thing shouldn't be an issue, who uses their phones at maximum brightness?  hmm.gif
I'll be getting mine tomorrow hopefully.  biggrin.gif
*
Well personally at the start i use it at the brightest screen setting .. or am i the only person who does that? blink.gif
toned it down a bit when battery started to drop low tongue.gif
So far within the few hours of being a new Z1 Compact owner, there are a few thing i would like to nit pick of this otherwise perfect phone:
1. Placing their back and home button within the screen.
Was confused why i couldn't press the back button until i realized the back button was in fact, in the screen itself. I believe its quite a waste of space and
should they put it down, we could have a little bit more of screen size.
2. Placing their speaker at the bottom.
The way i hold my phone covers the speaker some times. so its quite a bit of bummer when i play song, receiving a message and needing to change my way
of typing, which also slows down the typing speed due to having to adjust the phone holding method.
Speaking of which, I also find the maximum volume very low compared to my bro who got a lenovo phone. Very big difference.

doesn't the phone itself supports magnetic cable charging? by that same effect doesn't it affect the phone too?
i know glass more protection but i lazy to keep washing phone .. banyak susah for me biggrin.gif
btw this phone isn't quite dust resistant as i imagine it to be .. still can pick out fine pieces of dust.. and also accumulates lint (?) whenever i take out from pocket

Yeap  thumbup.gif

But quick question, I'm using an old HTC charger because of the 3-pin wall connector. But this phone only charges up till 98% even if left overnight ... is this a software feature or its because of the charger I'm using ?

Out-station now so can only try the default Sony charger next week.
*
I know your feel bro..
Am also quite surprised and annoyed to be honest when I opened the box and saw a 2 pin .. hello Sony we are not in Japan or wherever that uses 2 pin ..
Give la a proper one shakehead.gif
I also haven't try using cable on a three pin and see the effect (lost my old 3 pin)
Anyone tried? Or will doing so affect the battery? hmm.gif

black Z1c noti-light, bright or dim?
*
Personally I find it quite dim/ unnoticable, after staring a while only realize got notification if I set on silent/ away from phone
Heck I even find the screen brightness quite a bit of disappointment, I never set it less than 75% because lower would be too dim for me, and I am just using clear SP currently

I have both the magnetic cable and the original cable and I don't think there is any difference in charging time.  hmm.gif
Charging time for the Xperia z1 is fast though if.compared with other Android phones.
*
How's the magnetic cable quality?
Got a friend can get for me but I read reviews some say very weak magnetic power, no good, current charging also weak. hmm.gif
How's yours?
