I bought a Kettler pull-up bar few months back, mounted with wall plugs onto wall at passage way to bedrooms. My weight is about 68 kg and I do about 50 pull-ups in total per day.

The pull-up bar I had was meant for door frame but I extend it to fit both walls on my passage way, drill in 3 wall plugs each sides to firmly anchor the bar.

Price of bar is about RM 60.00.

Better use a stool if it's beyond ones reach. You don't want to get spinal injury from a bad fall. Weight limit for this bar is also 100 KG, don't let your body swing too much when doing pull ups.

My main worries is not the bar but the structural integrity of my walls.

Width of my wall is 89cm, extending it further will be pushing its limit.

Securing with wall plugs solve everything but precautions is a must. Floor type will certainly take up more space. I may consider a more complex pull up bar for my new unit 2 years later, just make do with what I have for now.

Can see a significant improved in upper body strength. Now trying to reach a total of 100 pull ups a day.
