My Ipad air was dropped accidentally. I have been Machine service center and ask for repair but they said Ipad Air cannot be repair and it is only one to one swap under warranty coverage. I understood my ipad was damaged by myself and my warranty void. But i willing to pay for repair by Apple.

May i know all Apple product cannot send back to Apple for repair? Is it must be trade in and get a new one?

Yes you can repair it but then the cost will be quite high if not mistaken about 60-80% of the cost of the ipad air.

There is this shop in centerpoint BU which does repair. Go there and ask for a quote.

if you go back authorize seller normally they dont offer repair, they will get you pay for an amount and 1 to 1 exchange you a refurbished ipad air (for damage by own and out of warranty product they normally offer like this)

by the way how bad your ipad air is damaged?

Apple Authorised Stores don't repair those iPads unless you look for 3rd party shops...cannot guarantee the longevity after repaired since hardwares used to repair are made from 3rd party company ( unless the repairer bought faulty iPads and dissembled them ) ....but that's how it is

So how much will they usually offer for damaged iPads? Just cracked my iPad Air's screen, not sure if I should repair it or exchange?

few things need to consider

i believe your ipad air still under warranty but the screen cracked by accident so it suppose not cover

if you get repair outside (whether the screen is original or oem) next time other hardware spoil, can you claim warranty? i not sure so you have to know about this

if you go to apple authorized reseller and pay an amount for one to one exchange, how is the warranty cover?

I oso broke my digitizer and this happen after 1.5month I buy the ipad. During the time the ipad just launch in msia and I go to apple (mac city) to asked about the repair and they said they will offer me RM1200 for 1 to 1 exchange and need to wait for 1 week.

So finally how u solve the problem? @Lone45
