I have two pimples right now, one on my forehead and one on my cheek. It is pretty depressing and I believe it is caused by my erratic sleep patterns lately (PMS may also be a factor). I was just wondering if it's okay to use the neutrogena deep clean facial cleanser in the place of cetaphil? I have used cetaphil before but it made me feel very uncomfortable and my face felt oily even after using it. Also, I can't find PanOxyl 2.5% anywhere I've tried 3 Guardians and 1 Watson so I gave up and bought the 5% instead. Is there any way i can lessen the harsh effect? Thanks, Jinyee This post has been edited by Princess Shmoosh: Jan 21 2007, 05:04 PM

i used oxy 5 and 10 before this, when my skin was really bad. so would 2.5 panoxyl be too mild for me? the 5 is causing my skin to become a bit dry though.
also, what would u recommend for scars? something that is non-comodogenic becoz i dont want any pimple popping up again.

Lara, I believe the multi-repair essence you are talking about is Miyome, am I right? My review of it (copied from my post on a seller's thread):
I noticed a lot of raving reviews for this product. TS, I'm not sure if you'll be angry over this product review but this is just based on my personal experience. I just hope it'll help clarify certain things to potential customers because there isn't much info about this product online. If you don't like it, please PM me and I will immediately remove it.
This is not a miracle. It's just a normal product. The whitening effect is really good though. But if you do your research before buying, you'll notice that some people said this product might make your facial skin tone different from your neck because of the powerful whitening effect.
I did notice an improvement to my complexion. I didn't notice a more even skin tone but definitely fairer, although the effect does subside after awhile. I would say it controlled my breakouts. Usually, around the time of my menstruation, i would get some pimples but this time, I noticed only one on my forehead. My scars are not very much lightened. My mum was away for a week and when she came back, she commented that my skin is clearer.
This product claims to help everything, even cellulite. But seriously, at RM116 for 5ml, I think you'd agree that it's a waste to apply it on your thighs to see if it works. And 5ml, come on, that's probably two applications per jar.
For those who said the 5ml lasts over 3 months, I don't know if they use too little, if their face is very small (or my face is big, lol) or if they are lying. But it only lasted for about a month for me. Once daily usage. I think maximum would be one and a half months, maybe two is still believable. But 3, now that's just pushing it.
After application, skin feels a bit like it's 'hard to breathe', if you get what I mean - a bit sticky. Feels kinda weird, slightly uncomfortable, but not unbearable. I didn't have any allergic reactions to it although my skin has been known to react badly to certain products. It didn't cause my skin to be too dry or too oily in the day when I'm not using the cream (only apply it at night before bed). No visible negative side effects.
Overall, I would say that this product helps a lot if your aim is to achieve fairer skin. I saw results within two weeks. In terms of acne, it controls break outs but not lah sampai jadi skincare ad model. Must be realistic. As for fading scars, the results are very slow and not too effective.
Added on March 9, 2008, 7:17 pmAnd jinyee, I hope you don't mind. I used your regime but it didn't work very well for me, my skin started becoming too dry, even painful and the skin started peeling off. Some areas became itchy and scaly, I'm not sure why.
Anyway, I went to see a wonderful dermatologist and my skin improved a lot. Even now, after I stop using his medication, my skin didn't suddenly get break outs. Maybe a few when I'm having my period but apart from that, not much trouble. And I'm using mineral make up as well.
No one method can work for everyone. I would say, experiment with different products to find one that suits your skin and educate yourself as a consumer to know what's in your product instead of blindly following advertising gimmicks.
Good luck =) I know it's a long and slow process but don't be disheartened! The results are worth the wait.

It's okay, nicKit =D Don't worry about it.
Lara, I read the list of ingredients. I don't think there are any special secret ingredients that is worth RM110! Especially since this is a Malaysian product which is still not well-known yet, I don't think they should charge so much. It works for me as well but at RM110 for 5ml, I'm still wondering if it's worth it (dahlah packaging bukan professional sangat. Maybe RM60 is more reasonable.
Oh, by the way, I've been using a product some LYN seller is selling here. Reasonably priced and I love that it moisturizes without any sticky or oily feeling. Though I must note that I don't see a clear acne-busting effect.
