jinyee80,

Hope u can give me some advice.
I have oily face.
Now I'm using a solution called Eryderm 2% recommend by my local pharmacist.
I just wash my face with TOLSOM cleanser (from Amway) and apply the Eryderm day and night.
Sometimes it works sometimes doesn't on my acne.

Any comments? thx~!

dya_ungu,

I would say AVOID synthetic oil products. I recommend you Neutrogena® Oil-Free Moisture For Sensitive Skin. It can be easily pump up, so no wastage. Its really suitable for sensitive skin. Use about twenty cent coin amount is sufficient to cover your whole face. Apply little bit more when you are in air-cond .
Attached Image

As if your face tend to be VERY oily in air-cond, then its probably because your skin is dry in but oily out. So, you need to moisturize deeply to let your skin balance it off. I would recommend Cetaphil® Moisturizing Lotion for this kind of situation.

Actually, I didn't stick on one moisturizer but I will see the condition where I will be in. Obviously I would not have until 5-6 moisturizers, but 1-2 is okie for different situation.

PentSY,

I have recommended kobe8bryant Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and he feels comfortable with it. Actually Tolsom will be a little bit dry, you are a guy, right? because Tolsom from Amway is for guy. Since you have a physician, then you would have to consult him as he/she is looking at your skin directly rather than us here. Well, to make the Eryderm works fine, you will need to have a clean skin for it to start reacting to your skin. I would really rather recommend you Cetaphil rather than Tolsom. Believe me, after you use Cetaphil, your skin will be smoother and totally not the same with your current skin condition.

Some might claim that Cetaphil cannot lather and its like thick water stuff but its really a great product that it puts aside unnecessary ingredients that would potentially affect your skin. Doctors even recommend mummy to use Cetaphil for infants because its so gentle.

Anyway, please quote me the key ingredient in Eryderm. I would like to know more about that.

rainwen,

Yes, you could sue a whole range of a brand. Because some is designed specifically to compliment one to another. For toner, if you have followed up with my previous posts, you will notice that I am a person who really emphasized on MILD products. Go for something that is not strong, MILD. Keep those with AHA, BHA and etc away first. Anyway, you could provide a link for us as if you think of any brand that come across your mind.

Moisturizer, besides what i recommend dya_ungu, St.Ives has also a great moisturizer..forgot the name already. Perhaps you can have a look on that.

You can get it at Guardian, and any counter that sell skincare products. It easily reachable. Anyway, the price is not really cheap. Anyway, gonna invest the money in if you believe on it!

Though I am not a fan of Avene, I do recommend one of their products which I think is really good to use when you feel your skin is a little dry. Its convenience too!

dya_ungu,

Yes, moisturizer 1st. Let it dry out by itself. Then apply foundation. Smear it smooth and evenly. Do not apply too thick. Yup, Neutrogena produces really good products, but recently their new range of products intend to mix different skin type to another. The marketing team of Neutrogena is too eager to gain more stake in the skincare market which their recent products will somehow are not as good as their predecessor.

Liquid Neutrogena is one of my top 3 facial cleanser list for recommendation. Its really the products that was used since the old times.

The first time I looked through the ingredient list you provide, straight away I shook my head. 77% of alcohol is really overdrying to your skin. I would say that you better put that product away from you.

Try Neutrogena On-the-spot, its really a good product which its mild for sensitive skin yet be able to help the skin to prevent acne.

Remember, ALWAYS ALWAYS get skincare products that their 1st until 5th ingredients do not consist of alcohol.

Yup, you can get Cetaphil at guardian or Vitacare( if I'm not mistaken). Purchase the pump version as you wouldn't waste it by accidently pouring too much.

Isopropyl palmitate. It is used in cosmetics as a thickening agent and emollient. As is true for any emollient or thickening agent, it can potentially clog pores, depending on the amount used in the product.

Well, consealer is not that recommend dear dya_ungu. Kaolin, as named as Talc may clog pores. Titanium Oxide and Iron Oxides are agent that helps to reflect sunlight, also known as sunscreen and they may potentially clogging pores.

Stay put on your foundation will be advised. Anyway, you could use concealer during important events, otherwise for normally usage, it will really exhausting your skin.

It's not easily available, sometimes you could find some of them in Guardian but they are very limited. You'll need to go to cosmetic shop like s.a.s.a to get it if you want to get the complete range, that is cleanser, toner and mosturiser. Add all up gonna cost you more or less RM180 that will last for around 3 months to 6 months
