QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 16 2014, 07:29 PM) with the regime, do i have to wipe off the BP if i want to apply moisturizer next? my face is kinda dry the next day after i applied BP so i am not sure if i should put moisturizer on in the morning without BP or do both at the same time You do not have to wipe off the BP when you want to apply moisturizer, this defeats the purpose of applying BP. The sequence should be (1)mild cleansing (2)BP (3)moisturiser You have to wait for the BP to dry up before the moisturizer application. Unless your skin is sensitive to BP, its a must to apply BP everytime after the mild cleansing. |

QUOTE(estherpang87 @ Jan 26 2014, 12:24 AM) Hi there, I have been following Jinyee's regimen since May 2013. Nothing can heal me. So i decided to go back to her regimen and give it another try. My face was so serious until every part of my face was covered with acne. but now, everything is not the same anymore. my face was 90% recovered, only left with some scars which i believe it will fade away. you can PM me for more information. Good to know about that. At least this regimen helps. QUOTE(alone_onthebeach @ Feb 12 2014, 05:55 PM) Honest to God, hands on my heart, I need a quick advice on this; I promise you I am not a troll and I will not write in the Girl's section ever again. But I need advice. A good female fiend of mine booked a session for a chemical treatment on for her face that would make the skin peel off. It is going to cost her RM500+. 1st question: what on earth is this treatment? 2nd: will this work to remove those acne scars?? I cant believe there are people putting acids on a a girl's face and gets away with it. Is there not a law that say which cosmesis is legal etc? Should I advice her against this Acids scar your skin, right?? The AHA peeling (if thats what your female friend is using) is an old way of skin peeling. Basically the AHA damaged the epidermis and allow the bottom layer to surface. Once the new layer appeared, your previous scar will be lighter. One need a few round of peeling in order to really get significant result as we are dealing with skin surface damaging here.Later part, the PHA peeling was introduced. Polyhydroxy Acids are Alpha Hydroxy Acids with multiple (i.e., poly) hydroxy groups on the molecule. The additional hydroxys attract water making PHA compounds more hydrating and moisturizing than conventional AHAs. PHA compounds are also antioxidant chelators that have been found to be gentle to skin without the stinging and burning that may accompany AHA use on sensitive skin. QUOTE(stereobiru @ Feb 22 2014, 09:58 AM) i have a very bad acne scar (hole) in my face because before this almost 10 year i had acne in my face. And now i are quite busy to find a way to minimize the scar hole in my face. So, need recommendation from u all, what a treatment that should i get. And how about the cost is needed because im student, so budget also not much.. and anyone can suppose the place/dermotologist that provide the best service of this matter? TQ To me the most basic way is to prevent new acne from forming. Hence, you need to maintain clear face (or not 90%) to allow the skin to rejuvenate itself. Note that the skin can repair itself during the course of time. |

I've always had a bit of problem with acne on my face, was worse during my teenage years but nothing I worried about too much. However, a few weeks ago I noticed that my neck and chest areas were breaking out
I haven't changed any of my hair products, and I don't use a lot anyway... New products I'm using is eggwhite soap and snail cream only for my face, and my face is actually fine now, skin looks plumper and pores less noticeable, so I doubt that's the cause. Probably need to look at laundry detergent too, but I've been using the same ones for like 5 months (different detergent for handwashed and machine wash). It has been a bit warm around here though, so I think it may be the extra sweat. Either that or the lack of sleep due to work. I try to keep my chest and neck area super clean now, seems to be some improvement but the pimples are not going away. I wash with T3 body wash and a soft loofah, use some witch hazel toner, and then apply aloe vera gel to moisturise. Wonder if I should apply benzoyl peroxide, though. Will that speed up the process? I've read that for the body, tea tree oil based wash isn't as effective due to the thicker skin Anyway, i probably should look for the cetaphil soap. Thanks for the thread |

For me, these products really helps me a lot
1. Sebamed Foam Cleanser most acne skin are caused by oily skin and foam cleanser are the best and most suitable facial cleanser for acne skin. Besides that, this Sebamed foam cleanser it pretty fun to use because you leave it for 5 minutes to let the foam do its thing and kill the bacteria on your face! yes kill! acne is caused by bacteria, impurities and all those pollutants so this foam helps in this area and the best part you can feel this little bubbles popping, it means the bacteria are dying! next is Naruko Rose Water Toner recommended by my friend and it has became my favourite toner ever since. Rose water has so much benefits (google it!) and this toner is very suitable for acne as it is astringent and it DOES NOT DRY OUT YOUR FACE. love the smell and it is affordable too! love. ![]() then is this Stieva A cream. this cream is the best for all those acne scars and it will leave your skin smooth again but this cream need to be use with your doctor advice or prescription lastly, this holy grail, the Pobling Pore Cleanser]. I have so much blackhead around my nose and all those impurities around my Tzone that always cause me to breakout. Washing your face with this really helps a LOT and makes a lot of difference. Your face feels so smooth and using this, all those moisturiser and cream can be absorbed much more better! love it hope this helps in your journey to get rid of acne as I was researching and exploring myself last time too and thank god my acne has tone down a lot. btw if you are interested in getting the Pobling Pore Cleanser do check out underonecloset http://underonecloset.blogspot.com/2014/07...bling-pore.html having special promo, selling for RM49 only for a limited time. Go get it while stocks last okay This post has been edited by underonecloset: Jul 31 2014, 12:55 AM |

My face became acne-prone since i used one local product introduced by my friend. Since that, i keep having new pimples and the scars turned to ugly blemishes.
I tried Oil Cleansing Method, but it caused me more breakout. I read about the Regimen from acne.org and gave it a try. I did as Dan recommended, but on the 2nd day, my skin severe itch, red like a tomato, swollen, and i got million rashes all over my face. I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed me anti-histamine, hydrocortisone and clindamycin cream. The Dr said i'm alergy to Benzoyl Peroxide. It took 3 weeks for the rashes to completely gone. After a month, i found an acne-expert website that recommend users to use 15minutes BPO and wash it. Repeat once a day and increase to 30 minutes once our skin get used to the BPO. So i gave it a try. I wash my face twice a day with Cetaphil, and apply BPO (i'm using Benzac AC 2.5%) 15minutes at night before wash it again with Cetaphil. But after a few hours, i'll get a warm, red and itch irritation on my face. But since i dont use it overnight, i didnt get that ugly rashes along. My pimples dried up after each BPO application, but the irritation is too tough for me too handle I'm still using BPO every alternate night, at 15 minutes duration. It has been 3 weeks and i still have that alergy. Maybe BPO is not for me. Any other treatment works as good as BPO that i can try? Are u familiar with products with Salicylic Acid 2% for acne treatment? Thanks! -nico- This post has been edited by nicoty_yne: Aug 14 2014, 05:58 PM |

Hi, Jinyee80.
I found this thread last year and tried following your regimen but failed since I sometimes forgot, busy or maybe way too lazy to apply BP + moisturizer, due to SPM exam stuffs here and there. I was worried that with such a little time 'wasted' from NOT doing any revision will affect my results and everything, so I decided to not to care too much about my looks and focus more on studies first. So, I have been following your regimen(again I feel weird or rather uncomfortable using Cetaphil - not because I'm allergic to it or anything.. It's just that when I put cetaphil, it feels like I put nothing but water on my face, making me feel like I didn't put any effort on recovering my face eventhough I did. Hahah but anyway, it works. Totally never skipped a day off the regimen, at all. The result are slow but my pimples are slightly lesser than before, and experiencing a little break out. Then my bottle of Cetaphil and Oxy5 are used up, so I went to guardian to get some new one. But this time I finally found Benzac AC gel and replaced my cleanser thingy with Liquid Neutrogena pure mild, fragrance free. Guess what? After 1 week, I found that this solution works even better than the previous one. Totally unsure whether it's because I been constantly taking care of my face for months without skipping or it's because the new products that made my face recover even quicker? But seriously, Jinyee80.. I truly appreciate your work for sharing this thread. I have never felt even more confident in my life till now. Even taking even more selfies too. Haha Now my next concern is how to get rid of pimple scars and pores on my face(too much tiny holes on T-zone), which I have no idea what article on google I could trust. Anyway, thank you so much! God bless! This post has been edited by SugarShae: Sep 5 2014, 12:09 AM |

I thought I had oily skin but then I figured out I was a combination skin. BP is very drying to me. Used a mild cleanser, then alcohol free toner, product with Salicylic Acid 2% and wait around 20 minutes, and end my routine with light moisturizer during daytime and normal moisturizer at night. Do not forget the sunscreen during daytime. In between I used Queen Helene mask twice a week. Can buy it either at iHerb (cheaper if buy two or with other products) or if doesn't mind forking out extra, Nattacosme is selling it for RM34.50 (exclude shipping). I read a lot in this thread and a /r/skincareaddiction at reddit to guide me for a good skincare routine. I understand that it does not have necessarily I HAVE to have same range of brand in order to make my skin looks better. OCM, try not to use anything that has Argan Oil or Coconut Oil. It might work for some, but not for everyone. |

QUOTE(Alyson Y @ May 25 2008, 12:42 PM) Nurufuruhana, Where can i buy colonial dames been searching everywhere for itProducts from Garden of Eden is made from natural ingredients, so basically it takes a longer period to see the results..but for those who are concerned on acne marks, vitamin E whether it's natural or syntheticall produced does give effect in lightening the scar. In fact, one very trusted and best vitamin E brand in the market would be Colonial Dames, you may check out this brand online...I personally feel it is more effective than Bio-oil or vitamin E of other mass products brand. Not only acne scars but scar of any form. But of course there is a special way in using oil based products especially vitamin E oil so that it is easily absorbed into the skin...Again, I don't sell and is just speaking from experience and just sharing what I know as I work in the MEDIA..and most of the time, we get to try on products in order to do the review For instance, 5 years back, a colleague of mine was involved in an accident that left his arm bruised with big wounds and few other wounds on some other parts of his body...Big deep wounds usually will form scars that might not be appealing to the sight.... It was then that I gave him my half full Colonial Dames Vit E Oil (14,000 IU) and told him to apply to his wound once the wound has dried up a bit....Religiously I reminded him to apply it before sleep (since many have the thoughts of not liking 'oily' or sticky feeling on their body) with just one drop every night...And he listened..and do exactly what I told him...and...I was almost forgotten about it until a week later..I remember wanted to ask how's him wound like now...(Just wanted to see if it form any scar)...And...the good news is..his wound is totally dried up and not only that...THERE'S NO SCAR AT ALL....just a smooth elbow with the colour of the wound slowly returning to his original colour... People who have lots of continuous acne formation may not be able to use this oil first unless it's just scar left as there are many consideration to look into.. A drop of vitamin E oil added into your normal hand and body lotion every day will smoothen your skin never like before anymore... Well, this is just for sharing...If any of you would like to know more on the way of applying Vitamin E oil...PM me, I don't mind sharing the tips...The people that I have recommended Colonial Dames to, agreed that the oil is really amazing!
