Dear sifus,
I have a 1.8 md year 2012. I have been noticing that the air-conditioned is giving out some foul smell occasionally. This happens usually when the air-conditioned is set to a low temperature (18-21°) with high fan speed, after about 15 min or so, turn the fan speed down to the lowest speed. That is the moment when the smell comes out.
I have complained to SC many times but they say there is no problem. Also, I have never been able to simulate this at the SC. However they have changed the filter and during my recent service theyou serviced the air-cond.
Any things that would come to mind?
Thanks

QUOTE(Scorpion911 @ Mar 14 2017, 05:29 PM) Own this beautiful bitch for 3 years, still loving her after all these yrs and 110k km!! Even added a new Llumar tint for her b4 CNY. But now something major problem surfacing!! I afraid she just got the same problem as her sisters back in USA: Steering problem! (please read: http://www.businessinsider.com/r-hyundai-r...IR=T&r=US&IR=T)! When turning the steering wheel, there is "click, click" sounds, especially during slow speeds. Check with a local car shop (didn't go back to dealership due to out-of-warranty dispute) and was told this happened to many earlier Avante models, n some Elantra too! Major repair and original parts are hard to get. Any recommendation of repair shop here in JB to deal with this matter? Or any solution from others owners on this problem?? If you mean the ' tuk, tuk' sound when you turn your steering when the car is stationary, it is just a small rubber in the EPS. I have changed this before at old long road SC. Damage approx RM 120. That is about 2 years ago. It is a wear and tear part and quite common. If you dare you can just buy the part from SC and there you can Google the service manual. According to hyundai USA owners, the rubber cost about 1.70 USD but the labour is about 120 USD. Good luck .
