Hi there,

Warranty issue???? Is HE warranty void if i didn't follow the maintenance schedule of 3months or 5000km (whichever come first)?? I knew that Sime Darby had changed the company policy on the maintenance.

Every car manufacturer requires owners to follow the recommended maintenance schedule, not only Sime Darby lah

Note:
3 months or 5000km if u use semi syn
6 months or 10000km if u use fully syn
Whichever comes first
~ late max 15 days or 500km extra

LOL, I JUST VOIDED MY ELANTRA 5YEARS WARRANTY.

I have to admit it is my fault for not reading the 1 cm thick manual carefully.

For any new car owner and blur like me, please bring you car to service on time regardless your mileage hitting the target or not, else your warranty will get voided!

For a non regular driver like me, it took almost 8 months for me to hit my first 5000Km. and the service agent said, my warranty voided due to not following the service schedule. after a long talk with the agent, he said, many customer same like me, warranty gone due to not following the schedule, and this nothing he can help because your service date is recorded in hyundai database.

so be make sure again, service it on time, hope that helps

Aiks! How old are your cars? Why the SA never inform?

When I deliver cars, I repeat so many times like a broken record because I also experienced this warranty problem with my old Myvi. 6 years warranty gone because the service advisor told me "come next month also nvm one".

Hyundai got kasi chance. Not more than 500km or 15 days late. I repeat this many many times also. Sometimes I panic and start chasing my customers to come for 1k service, not knowing they already did it somewhere else. Haha.

Must follow schedule if got extended warranty, I.e. any car maker that offers 4 or 5 years warranty today. Please be wary if they say late also "nvm one".

Please remember to service
1. First 1000km done or within 1st month.
2. At 5000km done or in 3rd month.
3. At 10000km done or in 6th month.
Subsequently,
4. Semi syn - every 5000km or 3 months, whichever comes first.
5. Fully syn - every 10000km or 6 months, whichever comes first.

Hi Laura,

My SA told me follow the mileage and my first mileage done after 3 months and service advisor also didn't not told me on the service interval.

However, i need to admited it is my fault for not read the manual carefully.
