Now its at 108k

Yeap

When it's on D, it's shaking quite bad on the left mount

According to the service center

Left mount already spoil while middle and right mount still ok

Is yours facing the same issue as well?
*
mounting just cost you around 500 for one whole set. try go for other workshop instead of service centers for a quote.

you can find some engine mounting replacement for elantra @ youtube for your understanding.
once changed, your car will feel like new.

hmm im not sure.. but replace engine mounting you can just find any workshop with good google review and get them replace for you, if they chasiu you then just find others.
engine mounting quite easy only, doesnt really mess up your wiring or systems so should be fine.

Finally i got myself a KYB absorber from local store. I can say that it dramatically reduced the fishtail effect if not totally eliminate it. Before installing Ultra racing bars, I highly recommend change to this absorber first! The rear absorber costs RM95 per piece. Can get from local KYB dealers. rclxms.gif Hope this helps anyone out there thinking how to solve the fistail issue.

KYB Part number
Front Absorber: 332n085/6 - RM135 per piece
Rear Absorber: 342n034 - RM95 per piece
I got mine from this dealer.

FONDAH AUTO SPARES SDN BHD
JLN PINGGIR OFF JLN KOLAM AIR,
JALAN IPOH, KUALA LUMPUR
TEL : 03-40419148

But you can get them from their partners nationwide.

yo can i ask whats your elantra year and spec..?
mine is year 2012 and the fishtail + oversteer issue is the worse. not sure whether kyb suspension will fix

My rear absorbers were replaced by SC years ago when i complaint fishtail effect during corners and high speed (around 120kph-160kph).
Works fine now. FYI factory fitted absorbers were APM, SC gave me original hyundai absorbers from Korea.
*
any idea whats the name of the absorber SC gave you or the price..?

But are they exactly the same spec of windscreen? I found outside one not exactly same as original installed one, some specifications different. Any have experience?
*

Normal service for oil change, I would say it's similar to Japanese car. Oil change for fully synthetic can be done RM100+
Personally I'm using Shell Helix Ultra, same as what service center is using. You can get it online or from Tesco during promotion.

For spare part wise, after market parts are readily available. Pricing are very similar to Japanese rivals.

If you plan to go for original OEM parts, you'll be surprised that Korea original parts are much cheaper than Japanese original parts.
Besides, I can tell you that there are a lot of "fake" Honda and Toyota parts out there with fake original packaging. Not so much for Korean cars, maybe the demand is not that high, so no one are counterfeiting Korean spare parts yet  tongue.gif

Thats good to know

Thanks!

just sharing i bought an OEM control arm branded OSUNG, two new control arm for RM300+
OEM's control arm is lighter and thinner compared to original, after 1 year +driving in KL road with potholes, one side of the bushing came out due to the bushing holder cracked.

luckily i did keep the original control arm, went back to Hyundai service centre and replace the bushing then install back. cost around RM600+

i guess what you pay is what you get.
