You can play with the multiplexing structure.
Use MKVToolnix. Your output will be in Matroska container. Matroska is a modern container, having the lowest overhead on file size; and I see AVI and Ogg have no advantage at all over Matroska. If you want AVI output, use AVI-Mux GUI. To output in MPEG-4 container, use MP4Box. Note that you only need one of the above tools, depending on what output you want. You still need Media Player Classic to find out the exact delay, by your eyes and ears, use + and - to adjust the audio delay. When it looks fine, try to seek the file to near beginning, observe the sync, fine adjustment to the audio delay maybe. Then seek to near end, check sync. If you can't get sync correct with just one delay setting for the whole clip, there is another problem. Otherwise, write down the audio delay. Media Player Classic, not windows media player classic.
Your video sound come out first for about 5 seconds. So, while playing with MPC, hold down + on your keyboard until it shows Audio Delay: -5000ms down there. If you play full screen, you should move the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen to make the status bar show up. Then adjust more, when you come quite close, try at 100ms interval. + to slow down audio - to slow down video |
