i never watch Diego Costa playing before.
but in my opinion we need a striker that can link up with midfielder, in our case Oscar. Striker like Rooney, Suarez or Aguero. Striker that can also assist, play a good passing football. Or a big target man like Drogba or Lukaku for more direct approach. Hold the ball and do simple pass to the trio. What we have right now are Etoo who is fox in the box, a poucher. He cant distribute ball or hold the ball. Torress a direct runner toward opposition defence and Ba who for me quite similar to Drogba but lesser interm of goal scoring and strength. Oscar is rather direct in his passing. What impress me is his off the ball movement where he disorganized the defence. Similar can be told about Willian. An opposite of what Mata is. Mata is more of defence slicer with his through ball. Striker like Torres will benefit much from him. |

Matic is more adventorous than Mikel. When we attack, his position is usually at the top of the middle circle of the field. He always look to be involve in play. And he always try 1-2 pass and burst forward, always look for the killer pass. A very very good sign. Very Yaya Toure alike. A midfielder that can pass, defend, intercept and attack. Positional wise i think he still lacks a little, maybe coz he stay too high up when we r attacking. But Matic made it up with his long legs and galloping track bak run. I rmb once he was caught out of position in d 1st half, but he gallop like a boss track bak and win the tackle. We have a gem there. Hazard is being man handled in 2nd consecutive matches. Using his pace, sometimes he manage to break through. But man marking hazard is ntg to us, we havr Shurrle, Eto and Oscar causing more prob. Which shows we have abundance of attacking option up top. Nice performance. Nice tempo v played. Shud'ved scored more though. This post has been edited by briantwj: Jan 27 2014, 12:06 PM |

Luke Shaw would prefer Chelsea to Manchester United, according to report.
By Stephen Schmidt @SchmidtXC on Jan 26 Thee Guardian are reporting some good news for Chelsea fans hoping to see Luke Shaw take over for Ashley Cole next season. While discussing United's attempts to add some actual talent to their squad, they dropped this nugget about Shaw into their story: United's information is that Luke Shaw, the Southampton left back, would prefer a move to Chelsea Both Chelsea and United have reportedly made big money bids for the talented fullback already this window, though Southampton seem to be hesitant to sell. Young, homegrown talents like Shaw are a valuable commodity for English clubs, and he'd be an ideal fit to replace either Patrice Evra or Cole. With Cole having entered the final six months of a very expensive deal, we've already been seeing all sorts of speculation that he won't be around next season. He doesn't appear to be too happy about being left out of the starting lineup on a regular basis, something which may well speed up Chelsea's pursuit of Shaw. this one maybe for the summer transfer. |

sorry if repost the same video
QUOTE As a Manchester United fan I can see why Mourinho was willing to let mata go. Mata plays elegantly and is not as a aggressive coming forward as Hazard. Mata relies on Creativity, Vision and passing while Hazard is all about close ball control, aggressive running and killer moves that will leave defenders faltering. People are mad that he sold Mata but Mourinho is looking to build a team that is clinical and is a killer machine that will out counter any team on the counter attack. Seeing this guy makes me really fear Chelsea. All Chelsea need now is a towering striker like when they had Drogba ( Costa, Cavani ) with Duff ( Hazard ) and Robben ( Salah). Mourinho was dominant using this system and as much as I hat to say it Chelsea are going to be a big force for the years to come. Being a Man U supporter I'm also looking forward to seeing how moyes is looking to build this faltering squad. Mata is a great addition but we need far more quality to even compete with city and chelsea.I think it'll come down between Chelsea and city with arsenal finishing 3rd . This comment on youtube the most interesting part to me. from my POV it is quite true but instead of mou play 4-3-3 he play 4-2-3-1, an upgrade version of his previous strategy. looking at the player that mou used, i can foresee that he not only want to have a team with superb defend but he also want a team with fierce attacking.what mou seek is not only fast counter but a team where the opponent find it hard to reach chelsea side i.g: last night game. last night game is a summary of what our team will be in future. you can see that stoke find it hard to penetrate our defend, even the commentator admit it. do we play a park bus game?no.we attack and dominate the game. so how come we can defend so good?because all our player track back the ball and intercept their attack. we very much dominate the mid field. i dont mind we didnt win this year (although i want to) but starting next season, i think chelsea will gonna play a very interesting football. anyway, this is just my 2cent and opinion |

QUOTE(lol~ @ Jan 27 2014, 01:04 PM) Imo, the youtube comment and ur comment is spot on. Mou's strategy is similar to the strategy he uses in Real Madrid. We will be playing entertaining football with a top notch defend. Its just a matter of time for Mou to get in the right set od players, the mind set and the form. |

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Jan 27 2014, 01:25 PM) +1 if the bid goes our way, the asking price is close to 30mil. Are we prepared to pay that price for a full back? moving forward i think we have enough cover for that position in the form of PVA, Bertrand and not to mention that 'Dave' also can play on the left.dont thing Man Utd can win the bidding game. more over they got players on other position to buy as well. |
