QUOTE(Gaia34 @ Jan 25 2014, 10:18 AM)
hmm we sold 3 players in this January transfers window,

out:
Mata, KDB, Essien

in:
Matic, Salah, Traore (out on loan)

Do you guys think we done a good business with all the transfers?

Do we have enough dept in the squad till the end of season?

Torres out for possibly a month...should we go out and sign a striker but Mourinho himself already ruled out the possibility of bringing in a striker..haiz sad.gif
*
ba transfer last minutes cancels after confirm torres injury.
btw you forget betrand loan to villa.
I do think we are doing well the team sort of more balance. We trim down some surplus areas and add some fat on thin areas.
salah is enough to cover the kdb and mata role for now.
matic is sufficient to cover essien role.
matic in kdb out.
salah in mata out.
bertand out shaw in? laugh.gif

i thought mata will be their highest earner at 150k/week.
*
As ichi said rooney have the highest wages over 200k.
not surprise if he get 300k.
anyway it seem like we free up quite lots of wages.
We are going to have huge war fund in the summer transfer.
hopefully cl, epl and fa will give good sum as well.

QUOTE(Kerplunk @ Jan 25 2014, 02:24 PM)
After taking into consideration the lengthy explanation given by jose,it appears the decision to offload mata was deliberated upon by a committee, which points to the fact that there is now an open and healthy discussion between the board and manager. Although not necessarily a decision i agree with, this newfound 'relationship' between both parties actually bodes well for our future, because it basically prevents anyone from vetoing the other, especially when it comes to major decisions such as these.

The board analysed the potential financial windfall, the huge loss which was posted recently (£50 mil!) and decided we had to do something about it sooner rather than later. It was a calculative and 'cruel' decision which seemingly brushed aside the majority of uproar among the fans, but one they felt had to be made for the good of the club. Fair enough.

Know what i think?this is a hole we've basically dug ourselves into after years of lavish spending. We delayed addressing the 'threat' of FFP rules and continued to stretch our purchasing power, and in the end juan mata was the unfortunate fallguy. Same player, different era,and things could have panned out very differently.

You don't need much more proof than trying to recall when was the last time we sold a top key player (or in this case, squad member) who was in his peak, with relatively zero issues from injury to attitude. I can only hope this serves as a lesson to the club to be more prudent in its financial dealings or else we will be a 'selling club' before you know it, and the consequences will be severe, with episodes like this becoming a regular occurrence.

Change starts now.Cfc gets with the program or gets left behind.I'm going with the former!
*
The biggest problem we have is we do not have a stable management, sacking manager non-stop.
it sometimes make me wonder how much that we have already spend on those compensation.
With jose back for long term, chelsea would have clearer sense of what kind of squad we really need.
hopefully we also spend prudently and make use of talented youth player that we have stock pile.
I still have major concern on our home grown quota.

not really when the manager doesnt value him that much

These transfer is very financial risky for MU.
If MU failed to reach cl for next season it would be a huge disaster considering the amount of potential profit will be cut down.
also it is not lile MU is lacking of No10 type of playmaker.
it still puzzle me does MU really need mata.

I dont really care about it now..in a few season we will fill it.

most of our loaned players already at the club for 3 years before the age of 21. so they are homegrown.

plus if we have players below 21 years old, we can play them regardless of the quota.

less homegrown players meaning two thing..small squad or big squad with a lot of below 21 years old player.
*
I concern it because of cole and lampard.
Err.
is lukaku, paizon were consider homegrown? hmm.gif

QUOTE(blueisthecolour @ Jan 26 2014, 06:19 AM)
Hi everyone,

As you can imagine this is a very important day in my life, and with these lines I would like to express the memories and emotions that come to me as I write.

This letter is written from my heart, and first of all I would like to say that I will never forget all the affection given to me by the Chelsea fans. From the very first day until the last.

With your support and affection I have grown up as a player and I have had an amazing time both on and off the pitch. I will always feel the gratitude towards you. Always. No words are enough to give back all the things I have received. There has been plenty of good moments: the FA Cup, my first trophy as a Blue; the immense happiness of winning titles for the first time in the club’s history, such as that magical Champions League night in Munich and the Europa League… On the other hand, I have experienced some complicated situation.........................
............Thank you so much for the way you have treated me, you have been unbelievable. I hope you understand that after going through a complicated and, for me, new situation in the last few months, I believe this is the best choice in order to carry on with my football career and to keep enjoying this sport.

Before last summer, my intention was to stay here for a long time; as long as the club wanted me to, and to keep winning trophies for Chelsea FC.

Bertrand on loan and Essien leaving..they will not play every game..they just train and play at less important game..to ease them into the team and provide backup for the first 11.
*
Look at the fixture dun think we have that luxury of less important games.
even fa cup getting tough opponent sigh.
