To those who said players come and go are normal. You are right. But in Mata case, the way he depart is not as I expectd. A fans favorite, the most creative player, a humble guy on and off the field. Who would not be disappointed losing such player. To a direct rival sum more.

I still think there something else that trigger his move. Don't think prospect of losing out on Spain contingent for Brazil is the sole factor.

could be. need to hear story from both side first. but doubt mata will follow kdb approach on talking bad bout mou or the club.

LB is our priority atm. and a back up AM (not so important since we got lampard).

would love to see shaw as cole successor. but he wont come cheap. or maybe we can loan coentrao till end of season and only buy shaw in the summer.

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Jan 24 2014, 12:13 PM)
after Salah arrival I dont think we need anyone anymore at trident.

Hazard Oscar Willian

Schurrle ( RW,AM,LW )
Salah ( RW,AM,LW )
Lampard ( AM )
Ramires ( RW )
Traore. ( RW,AM,LW )

as for the LB..we must wait and see if we will sign or settle with Ake for this season.

for sure Azpi is the main man for both side of the full back.  nod.gif

ake not god enough for the first team.

Nahhh...Chelsea has done nothing wrong in my opinion. The common concensus amongst Liverpool fans is our own fault for not concluding the deal earlier despite following the player for months. Basel wanted a certain sum, Liverpool refused to and Chelsea paid up. Fair game. Besides, an attacking player isn't exactly what Liverpool need right now considering the have the most potent offense in the league bar City. Defense is where needs to be strengthen and injuries are damaging our top 4 hopes.

I do hate Chelsea for selling Mata to the Manures though. Top 4 chase will be as exciting as the title race. icon_rolleyes.gif

as much as u hate mata move to united, we hate it more. hate the idea of mata depart from chelsea in fact.

salah not more than a consolation for me. cant see him break into the first team. heck, cant even see him made it to the bench.

says who? Mou rejected loan offers and promoted him to first team.
surely Mou wants to push him further more.
if we're not giving out chances for our young player of the year..thn i dont see the nonsense hoo haa abt "chelsea never give chance to youngsters"
*
not good enough to be in our first team. he is a good young player. no doubt about it. but to say he is good enough to play for the first team is a little bit too early. look at josh, he feature in numbers of first team matches few years back. look at him now. loan here, loan there.

chelsea is not a good place for youngsters if they are craving for playing times in the first team. it always be. the only exception is john terry.

I still don't quite understand why the move for Salah though, I would imagine Chelsea's immediate need would be to replace Mata with a central playmaker to back Oscar up. Yes Hazard and Willian both can play central but I thought they would be more effective using their pace on the flanks.

I thought Chelsea would have preferred to reinvest the Mata funds on a striker (Rooney or Costa).
*
there is no one available out there. simple as that. a great player like mata is one in a thousand. can't think of any players on the same league as mata available atm. there are numbers of players about the same level. but none available.

would love to see rooney leading the line. or suarez perhaps. tongue.gif

don't forget, the same 'procedure' was performed on KDB, when dortmund came calling and jose promptly turned them down. KDB was pushed further alright. straight out the door.  sweat.gif

i'm still trying to make sense as to what really happened between those two, and now mata's on the verge of leaving. it would be REALLY interesting to get their accounts of what really happened from day one.. hmm.gif
*
same here. it all start after that soton game. got to say something isnt right behind the scene. i guess we'll never know what really happen with mata. dont think brazil2014 is the only reason.

Shud gv an exceptional to terry regarding the club policy. Can't see anyone else capable of leading the team atm. Terry is essential especially in guiding the young talents at the club.

yup somehow i agree with u. but we need to start demonstrate and shows to they youth in u21..u might got the chance
terry (max 2 years)
cole 1 year

terry is 34 this year (december)

hmm.gif
*
mou did said want to give opportunity to youngster early in the season. but our situation atm won't allow it to happen i guess.

on terry case, 2 years is an ideal contract for him. can't see him still playing at his peak after 36. 2 years should be enough to nurture chalobah or any other youngster in becoming a solid backup to luiz and cahill at least.
