I interacted with LHDN before and all their correspondence never give basis, figures all pluck don't know from where and simply tell you to pay up. For what they do laws that are not clear such as this sport equip can, that one cannot, then this medical can rebate, that cannot etc...

All this is use to blackmail tax payer to shut up and pay up. For god sake go after those clear cut wrong doing case and not disturb tax payer with all this disputable cases. Also if the employer didn't pay the PCB, please go after the employer and not ask the powerless tax payer to pay!! If LHDN with power fail to get the employer to pay how you expect the powerless employee to do anything.

I believe LHDN have gone overboard and overuse their power by demanding employer to increase deduction at their whimp, also now for those who do not submit form B or BE, their PCB deduction amount is assume final. Surely LHDNM will get employers to over deduct or silently increase the PCB amount without the masses realizing it.

I believe most tax payer have no problem paying up taxes if the amount is reasoned clearly and fairly, unfortunately there's too much abuse and corruption everywhere that make tax payers very disappointed with the tax paid.
