Worst kept secret ever. diego costa, mandzukic or lewandowski it is then. yeah i still havent given up hope on lewa Dortmund's a bit down in the dumps now, but no way they are going to let more key players leave. Reus has already denied any possibility of a move. |

QUOTE(Jekferos @ Jan 7 2014, 04:21 AM) PerPer. True legend. True gooner.QUOTE(sigheart @ Jan 7 2014, 04:40 AM) The biggest question is will Theo ever be the same again, pace and speed wise after this. Doing cruciate ligaments is a pretty serious injury indeed and he might lose a step or two in 6 months. Such a shame really. when we say 6 months, it's probably 12. It's time for Gnabry to shine. Bobby buggered his and lost some of his speed yet none of his skills and flair. Le.Boss.We.Need.To.Buy.A.Striker.NOW. Now both ourselves and Dortmund will be on the hunt to find a starting striker... it'll be interesting to see whether we deck it out for the same one, or will we both go for different alternatives. QUOTE(cainconan @ Jan 10 2014, 10:37 AM) This is why I don't like Bayern, the Bundesliga bullies... They have been doing it for decades now, snatching up key players from their rivals. Ballack, Ze Roberto, Lucio, later Klose, now dismantling Dortmund. What are the chances that Kiessling/Reus/Draxler joining them in the next few years? Yet at the same time it's hard to really detest them as they've been running their club in an admirable way. Great youth development and no sugar daddies. |

QUOTE(gunnerah @ Jan 11 2014, 12:07 AM) Latest transfer update: Classic Arsenal. Our bid of 15million euros for a winger from Real Sociedad, Antoine Griezmann has been rejected. Source: Arseblog Amidst all the Costa/Mandzukic/Suarez/Rooney/Morata/Ali/AhKau/Mutu... we went for someone who's never even been mentioned. Young, French, relatively unknown, fairly quick and skillful. And from the youtube pics he seems like a younger Poldi. Good deal if we can snap him up, but not too fussed if we can't. |

Wow. seriously. ugh. Thank goodness they are all training kits which nobody really cares either. N98 jackets aside, we did get some shocking training kits from Nike this year too. No signs of home/away kits but good to know they will be in proper red-white and yellow-navy. |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Jan 12 2014, 04:55 PM) Henry was photographed with Sagna, Giroud and Linford Christie wearing the apparently leaked home kit. If it was truly looking like this kit then it'd be swell. It looks a pretty decent classic red and white. Below is that pic again. No sign of the away kit yet. The rumoured leaked pics which are circulating around look damn fake. ![]() There are some blurry pics floating around which look similar to this, albeit with white stripes along the sides. What's worrying is the suggested RRP = 90USD? What a rip off. QUOTE(sickx @ Jan 12 2014, 05:42 PM) Probably not. quick thoughts:
1. Giroud's shortcomings are once again exposed in this game. Not quick enough, passing's way off today, still wasteful. Yet his other qualities are admirable, mainly his work rate and being a bit of a handful for the opposing defenders. No point getting a like-for-like replacement, and le Boss knows that too - we need someone to complement Giroud, not replace him. 2. Wilshere faded in the second half. So did Santi... what a mistake to give away that ball, and our clean sheet. 3. Gnabry's the real deal. Just needs more experience. And a good opportunity to do so while Theo's out. 4. Villa's a dirty team. So much shirt pulling and body checking, not much football being played. Only knows how to hoof the ball up. Like Pulis's Stoke, Allardyce's Bolton. They deserve to be where they are. 5. We're on top. ON TOP. 6. Something's still not right with Poldi. Still not 100% fit maybe. Otherwise he should have started this game. |
