Think about it,  More People will criticize if the team is not performing well having signed a new player. It's like saying you buy new players therefore you must win the league now. If they don't win the league, everyone on the planet will question and gun down Pellegrini.

The shift of power at the moment is well-balanced with top 4 not signing anyone. It is up to our players to perform well throughout the season is what Wenger is thinking now.

I believe, if we do sign someone, we will go big again. For a long-term solution, not a stop-gap.
