i got broniac on my first and only pack  rolleyes.gif

MARCH 2009 Ban List is OUT!
On your first and only?! Dang, that's awesome, congrats. Haha... guess I'm one of those who spend a lot on several packs and don't get what I want. xD

Omg, March '09 list is out already? That was sorta fast, the last one was in September '08 IIRC. Least there are no additions to Forbidden cards, but a lotta new cards are Limited and Semi-Limited. Lol, never thought I'd see Apostle of Obliteration Unlimited. Well, since the life-long Forbidden Raise Dead was Limited, I guess anything could happen yeah? tongue.gif

Hey all,

I've been playing Yugioh for a while now,and i can hardly find a good place to play.
So I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer:
(1)Is it true that Gamers Arena at Sg.Wang holds mini tournament every Saturday and Sunday?

(2)If YES for question 1,then when is the best time to be there? And when i say best time,i mean lots of players,
but not too crowded.Pls tell me the approximate time....

(3)This question is irrelevant to Gamers Arena.
Is it still worth putting an E-Hero/Neos/Evil Hero deck together?Cause I see lots of Synchro cards nowadays, and
    they seem quite strong.

(4)How much is a box of duelist pack at Gamers Arena??And do they still sell Duelist Pack 3 and 6(Judai Pack 2 and 3)?

Hope these questions can be answered soon.Thx all. smile.gif
Hey there, nice to meet'cha. Same here, can hardly find a good place, and Gamers Arena is way to far for me to visit frequently. Nice to see another duelist though. smile.gif

1) Yep, they do hold mini tournaments every Sat & Sun.

2) Hm, I can't tell you a solid answer to that since I'm unable to frequently visit there myself, but during my past 2 to 3 visits... it's as tkt says, around 11 til the late afternoon, the latter being more crowded.

3) I'm sure a lotta people would disagree or have different opinions from me, but... IMO in a competitive play, like if you take it super seriously just to own people and win duels, I think it's unlikely. Though I think it's nice to see a Hero Deck, s'long as ya like it and have fun dueling with it. smile.gif

4) A box of duelist packs at Gamers Arena is around a negotiable price of RM110 (it was mentioned in a previous post btw xD), and from my past 2 to 3 visits there, the only duelist pack I saw was the latest one... Fudo Yusei. Try looking around some random game shops or shops that sell other sort of card games. Ya might find some really old stuff there. I once came across a game shop which still had the Magic Ruler packs, lol!

Have fun! biggrin.gif

Thx alot Misaki Ryou.

Hmm....E-Hero deck isn't strong huh??.....Can anybody tell me why?
Anyways,I'll still give my ideas a try.Maybe it will turn out okay??Lol.

What decks are recommended nowadays?I am willing to give everything a look-see.

Okay, might be going to Gamers Arena this weekend.
Hope they still sell DP3 and DP6.
Weird, thought I already replied to this, must've previewed and forgot to add. xD

Anyway, well, not saying that a Elemental Hero deck isn't strong. It's rather interesting if you ask me, I think they're kinda cool, with all those fusions and stuff. Employs more strategy instead of just a deck with one plan on focus on winning and nothing but winning. I guess in short, it's okay competitively, but others may say otherwise. It's awesome for fun and casual dueling in my opinion.

Well, if you're going for competitive play, there are many different sort of decks you can go. Easily searched on wikia or Google. I think whatever deck is fine s'long as it's fun and all.

Really??Are E-Hero really expensive and rare??
I was thinking of getting DP3 and DP6 which will give me a wide range of the cards I want, including Neospacians.Other than buying packs,I also hope to trade for them from others, which brings a question to mind... hmm.gif

Do people keep E-Hero cards/Neospacians/Evil Hero??
And by 'keep' I mean someone that bought a pack with E-Hero etc.,and keeps the card in their albums for trading opportunities??
I might be going to Sg.Wang soon,so I really hope to find people with the cards I want,so i can trade it off them.Buying DPs will have to wait....I've got to save up first... sweat.gif
Kinda. If you can get your hands on the Judai Yuki Duelist Packs, they come pretty easy and in large numbers. Otherwise, in the other packs the heroes and Neo-Spacians come from, they are usually of higher rarity... making it harder and close to impossible to get what you want. Not to mention the promotional Elemental Hero cards as well. At least they look nice and shiny. xD

I'm sure there are a buncha people with cards you might want, they could probably trade or sell ya. Try checking the section in Gamers Arena where they sell the single cards, could get what'cha want.

Yeah, packs and boxes are pricey here. Would be better if there was a convenient way to just import them from Japan, cause it'll be a hella lot cheaper. I tell ya, a lotta distributors and shop keepers that sell cards in this country are money minded to the extreme. Then again, with this recession and pathetic economy, anyone who's trying to make a living would be I guess. Lol... anyway, have fun! biggrin.gif

Awesome! Thanks for all your replies and opinions.
Will be going ahead with my E-Hero ideas!Wootz.

By the way(sorry for asking so many questions),are Synchros strong?
Seeing the effects of a few famous Synchros like Stardust,I find their effects rather strong, and with their Assault Mode....seems like broken cards to me.
But are they easy to summon? And are they worth summoning...or are they going to easily disposed off?

Lol.Sorry for all the questions I have.Hope you guys can answer them. tongue.gif
Yeah, Synchro Monsters are awesome... and they usually have awesome effects to go with it. Especially the 5D's.

Buster Modes are totally awesome, especially Stardust's, but at a cost of not being easy to summon. As FatalExe said, they are really slow to bring out. They share the same weaknesses as Fusion monsters; being excluded from the game and returned to the Extra Deck. If you've a way to prevent them being excluded from the game, like Royal Impregnable Fortress, or some way to defend them then they can really do some damage.

It's cool, at least the questions keep this board going. tongue.gif

Oh well....there goes my hopes on buying DP3 and DP6.Apparently they have stopped producing it for quite some time already... sad.gif
So now I'll just have to trade for the E-Hero cards I want...

Then,at GA,I got owned by two players...one of them playing an Out-Game Deck, another playing a 'BF' deck....I got trashed real bad....and what's worst,I realize that if you centralize your deck around a certain theme,it gets extra powerful....but E-hero decks seem to be the exception, because everyone there tells me that an E-hero deck is a good-for-nothing,hopeless,and a deck not worth wasting any effort for...

Anyone knows a way to empower an E-Hero deck?Because I don't think Fusion Monsters will stand up against Synchros which are much easier to summon, better ATK and DEF,and have better effects...

Haiz...I can see my E-Hero ideas going down the depths into an abyss of nothing-ness. cry.gif
DP3 and DP6 are rather old, so yeah... I had that same feeling when I came back into the game, and realized a lotta cards I want are already out-of-print... T_T

Bah, don't do those hardcore people at Gamers Arena. You can usually tell by their "only-play-this-card-game-just-to-own-people-for-the-shear-pleasure" face. The way this game was made so that any form of deck has a certain chance of victory and defeat, but if you're into competitive dueling (like those hardcore dudes, lol) or into tournaments, then I guess it's a different story. But hey, not saying it's just Gamers Arena, even Japan is like this. The people in the west and south who play the TCG have this prob as well, but humans be humans I guess.

It's true that if you play a certain theme, it gets kinda powerful, since you'll have cards to directly support the type of cards you are playing. Then again, as FatalExe says, especially those hardcore players with a Side Deck that contain cards to switch-in anytime to counter whatever form of deck. That's just rape, but hey, whatever form of deck... I just prefer to duel on with the deck of cards I like playing with, as from my experience of not sticking to archtype or metagame ways, had a fair share of victories and losses... even with a so-called "half-baked" deck, as those hardcore duelist will say.

If you love Elemental Heroes, go with it, duel casual duelists or friends that don't really care what deck they're up against and just play for fun. Elemental Heroes have a wide range of support cards, and are very flexible, which actually makes it much more fun to play with. As FatalExe says, a themed deck is fun, but if you're serious (or as I say, taking it too seriously) in the game, and just play to win or rape people and diss their deck... then, not all decks will do fine.

Then again, I'm sure many other people are agaisnt or do not agree to what I say.

Cheer up! Dueling is fun, especially is if it's with the cards you like. Doesn't matter if ya win or lose right? I mean, sometimes losing all the time is a drag, but I guess it come and goes. I've had my share of several losses in a row, but also several victories in a row. The only thing that's bad about this game is that my money keeps flying outta my wallet, LOL! (I really gotta put a stop to that... for now... xD)

Anyway, yeah, to get the cards you want... trading seems to be the most efficient way right now. Or if you're willing, sometimes there are people or shops that sell cards as singles. Commons usually going from RM3 to RM5, Rares from RM7 to RM10, Super Rares around RM30, Ultra Rares around RM50, and you get the idea...

You happen to want any of the Elemental Hero cards from Premium Pack 10? Think I got some lying around... there's 5 Secret Rare cards in a pack, and there are 10 cards in the master set.

PP10-JP001 Elemental Hero Forestman
PP10-JP002 Elemental Hero Knopse
PP10-JP003 Elemental Hero Bloom
PP10-JP004 Elemental Hero The Heat
PP10-JP005 Elemental Hero Lady of Fire
PP10-JP006 Elemental Hero The Earth
PP10-JP007 Elemental Hero Flame Blast
PP10-JP008 Bloomenblut
PP10-JP009 HERO's Bond
PP10-JP010 Earth Gravity (EDIT: Why the heck did I spell that as "Graviti"? Lawl...)

Where do you live though? Oh and, my bad if you're not familiar with the OCG names, lol. Anyway, try exploring the many Elemental Hero cards, maybe ya wanna try mixing in some Evil Heroes or Destiny Heroes too. Have fun. biggrin.gif

Yea,FatalExe is right.

Btw what is in that book,FatalExe?The book that is worth RM23.20.
I know there is an E-Hero Absolute Zero card, but what else is there? What is the book about? Is it a comic book?
Yes, it's a manga of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, but has an alternate storyline compared to that of the anime though.

Oh I see.
Don't think I will be spending RM23.20 on a comic book, just to get the card that comes along with it...Maybe I would have to trade it off somebody....
Hm, I guess it would be cheaper to trade it off somebody, but RM23.20 for the book with the card is cheaper than buying the card as a single though.

Alone the card goes for around RM30 to RM40, if I remember correctly.

Ok I will think about it.
Anyways does anyone know a good counter-strategy against an Exodia deck with Exodios in it?
The deck is focused on getting out exodia, exodios and has monster cards that inflict effect damage every turn.
Can anybody point out it's major flaws etc. so I can beat it with ease? tongue.gif
Hm, I'm not really sure... but I think by constantly excluding from the game (remove from play) your opponent's cards would help, since the sealed cards can't be of much use when out of the game, unless your opponent packs a lotta The End Spirits (Doomsday Horrors) or has some efficient way to bring them back into the game.

Wow.Since this topic has been silent for so long, better post something to get people talking...

Okay so I've been trying to collect the cards needed to build an E-Hero deck, and along the way I have collected quite a lot of Neo-Spacian cards,eg.their fusions and some of the basic N-Spacians.

Now I am thinking whether it would be practical to mix E-Hero and Neo-Spacian together, just like Judai did in the anime. Can anybody give their opinion on this??
Yeah, life's been a bit busy these days, but nice to see this board keeps going on. biggrin.gif

I don't think that's a good idea, for all the reasons FatalExe has mentioned, especially the one about Judai. xD

If you want, you could try to run a Elemental Hero Neos deck, since he mixes well with Neo-Spacians and has a buttload of support cards. Contact Fusion seems interesting. tongue.gif
