Getting Started

|
This is the first time I purchase game by using Public Bank debit card. When I enter all the information needed, it says "Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again." Please help me because the sales almost end!

QUOTE(WiLeKiyO @ Jan 1 2014, 08:25 PM) Same happens to me when I am using my Maybank card last week, but now it works just fine. Do I need to set my debit card to international? I heard it from my friend.

Your friend BS you.... there's no such thing as set card to international.. credit card is already international... don't buy games after 12am midnight. They won't work after those hours.

First of all, call your banks to inquire if they receive such a transaction. There's a high possibility that it's not your bank but rather, it's Steam with their anti-fraud mechanism. If your bank said they never received such a transaction, raise Steam Support a ticket & ask them to unlock your account. That should take a few days to take effect though. This is very normal if this is the first time you're buying games from Steam or you recently bought more games than you'll normally do from Steam. You've basically triggered the red flag on their system.

They won't work after those hours. There's a limit on debit cards especially ones like CIMB. You have to call the bank to lift it or you won't be able to buy stuff online since they can't charge the card. I've had to do this for both my cards.
