Good evening. I'm BlutKaizer on the forums, a newbie player just only starting FF14 less than 5 hours ago.

Started the game because I was mooching around and looking for a decent MMO to play when an analysis of FF14's endgame, essentially a heavy focus on cooldown micromanagement and rotation rather than class caught my eye because it didn't seem like the way most MMO's let you bulldoze through content provided you were geared and strong enough. So far I'm enjoying it, playing via free trial and getting a handle down on ARC's skill rotation and dealing with the strange global cool down thing that stops me from doing any sort of meaningful damage outside of skills. One thing I noted however, was how no one talked, but I put that down to the fact that no one in the starting town was free enough to bother about a freshie. So I decided to come to the forums now that the maintenance is ongoing and see if there's a FC around willing to show a newbie the ropes, because rule no 1 of all MMOs is to find a guild if you don't have friends already playing with you no?

I'm working, +8gmt, 7am to 7pm on a good day, but I still hope to be able to contribute when i can (can free trial players even join FC? I noticed that I couldn't even whisper people since i was on trial.)
