5K is too high bro, I'm only at 3K

my frens mostly also 3k to 4k+...doubt got many ppl reach 5k..and...supporters cant hit that high.
becoz kill does helps in calibrating higher mmr...
most ppl that are in higher mmr are carries.

no, it depends on game wins. each of game win will get 25-27 points. same goes with losing but with minus instead

yes it does depends on game win AFTER callibrating ur mmr with 10 games...
so.for higher mmr,easiest way is to get high mmr during calibrating then up slowly from there :/
but to win without lose from 3k is quite impossible moreover in solo mmr - -

in that case, just keep on winning. try to play support as good as you can.
even if your carry is really annoyingly noob, support him to get kills and support him from enemy raids.

in solo mmr,i doubt one ppl skill can change the gameflow :/
when i pick carry,those ppl will pick more carries lol..
most probably end up with shitty line up - -"

I think the MMR is broken. If you start with an initial MMR 3000. To me, it's almost impossible to get to the next level, i.e.: 4000. Reason? Every game you win or lose will earn or lose you about 25 points. This would mean you need to win 40 games to get to 4000. But it's not that easy, because the higher your MMR, you are supposed to be matched against similar raking players which means the game is supposed to get tougher. So it's fair to say the MMR is designed in a way that the player will usually achieve around 50% win-rate for an average player. With this in mind, it's almost impossible to move to the next level.

very true. I started with 4.3k was maitaining a while at 4k. then I go on a losing streak which Im now stuck at 3k which is impossible to get back to 4k.

i start at 3k, climb all the way up to 3.5k

i think the mmr system is a fail for the moment, steam need to improve it

From 4.3k to 5.1k now. All i can say is , depends on your teammate alot . I mean smart teammate . Btw i thats my Solo ranking . Party ranking so far from 4.6 to 4.8 only due to always trolling with friends.
