My GoPro Hero 3 Black edition won't turn off after a few day I forgotten to turn off the wifi. At first I thought it was the battery that is faulty so I bought a brand new original GoPro battery to replace the old one.
At first, I was so happy when I tried the new battery into my unit and it turned on at the store. After that I went home and try to charge my brand new battery, after hours of charging the brand new battery is not holding any charges at all. It was 2 bars when I bought it from the store and after hours of charging it is now 1 bar left.
LCD screen stated it is charging when I on the GoPro and the red light that indicate it is charging is also on. So I assume it wasn't the battery at fault.
Anyone have this issue before or any solution or any idea whats happening?
1. Update your gopro firmware. I believe the updated firmware improves the battery life a little. At first, I was so happy when I tried the new battery into my unit and it turned on at the store. 2. Ensure that wifi is off
3. (If you can't seem to charge/turn on the gopro) Remove SD card, LCD/bat backpack and charge the battery until it's fully charged. Also charge it when the gopro is off.
