I'm going to grab one of these by next week and still dilemma between the 1020 and 1520 although been searching in google for quite a time.

I see a lot of good thing in 1520 compare to 1020 except the camera(lower mp and dual led flash) and 6"(bulky size)

In camera side by side comparison review,I felt that 1020 is quite stunning compare to 1520. Is that only me feel in that way? sad.gif

If you are on my position, which would you choose? smile.gif State your reason as well biggrin.gif

p/s do tell me the what is the best price or promotion of these models smile.gif

L1520 has nice specs, but the size is too big for me.

Therefore, I will probably choose L1020.

I think they can.

Maybe they will put it on the next model.

1520 wins.

-1080p display
-quadcore snapdragon 800
-20mp is more than enough.
-micro sd supported

1520 is too big for me. But the 1020 is too slow from one shot to another. So if you are looking to just take out the phone and snap, the 1520 will probably be faster to launch the camera apps and to take successive photos. That is my pet peeve, might not be an issue to others. So try them in store! I know sunway pyramid has a store with working phone models.

lumia 1520

pros
+latest specs (faster and most likely is upgradable to wp8.1)
+beautiful screen
+expandable storage

cons
-camera (image/video quality performs not as good as expected during low light/indoor. some say it is a fixable issue but since it is a 'hardware limitation', we can only hope for miracles)
-6 inch size (one hand operational is almost impossible.. unless u're a titan XP)

lumia 1020
pro
+camera (that 41mp speaks volume)

cons
-one year old specs
-no microsd slot (have to content with 25++gb but can relieve the storage burden with skydrive)

i was in the same dilemma as u r now but i've decided to wait for the next nokrosoft flagship instead because those 2 beasts of a phone above doesnt really convinced me to break the bank yet.

why not wait for 1 more week to see what nokcrosoft is going to unveil in the CES on 7 jan 2014? unless, u really need to buy the phone right now, i'd say go for the lumia 1520. only because it's the latest high-end lumia and upgradable to wp.8.1. smile.gif

Agreed.

If you can't wait, you can grab Nokia Lumia 1520. New model but the size is so big.
Handling with one hand is almost impossible.

To me the the best size for the phone is 5.0 - 5.7inch with 1080p screen.

Galaxy S4 and Note 3 are the best examples smile.gif

New flagship Lumia with 4.5-inch screen is perfect IMO.

Or they can make few size variants (4.5-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch).

i also think for 1080p screen, 5 to 5" above is the perfect size. since <5" is only capable or suits for 720p. and for upcoming flagship phones, 1080p or 2k will become the standard screen. so i agreed with @che here.

a 4.5" phone most likely will become a standard for mid-end lineups.

Im a new L1520 user... I was once in dilemma about 1020 and 1520..

In the end, I chose 1520 over 1020

1020 is milesssssss ahead in terms of its camera.. And 1020 has the proper saiz of a phone..

But in price wise, 1520 is worth it.. Its 20mp PureView camera is comparable to its sibling the 41mp PureView lens.. Me myself quite impressed with the quality that produced by 20mp of 1520..

And 1520 has one of the greatest screen installed on a phone. 32gb onboard (+microSD), newer chipset.. And good speaker...

But the downfall, 1520 is just too big.. but my hand can handle it nicely..

So, for me bro, from an owner of L1520, and was once in dilemma between 1020 and 1520 (like you are, hehe), L1520 seems like a fairer choice... :-)

L1520 really won me over because when I got mine it was on offer @ 1999 while the L1020 was priced high at almost 2400. The 1520 had much better specs while the 1020 had only a better camera and most importantly, the hardware is already outdated

only thing con with the 52 is the size. If you say want to quickly want to take it out of your pocket, its size can cause you to fumble and drop it. I already dropped mine but thank god its indestructible

put it this way, if you really like cameras, get 1020

if camera is not an issue,1020 shouldnt even be considered

If dont require xenon flash, 1520 would do just fine. I just bought L1020 really loving it thumbup.gif . Bought it because of the xenon flash and I dont need a large screen device. Using it as my main camera but secondary phone.
