Took airbusan. freaking nice budget flight tho i don't think their services is BUDGET at all. won't regret taking this co. <Rm300 for me for Busan>Jeju>Seoul due to late getting cheap ticket.
IINM its around 25k KRW lowest during my purchase time.(1 way)

QUOTE(muaxs @ Jan 21 2014, 03:47 PM)
The exchange rate now is RM3.15=1000Won.

Is it consider good already?
*
I think so atm, as it is the same as the exchange counter at MV as i found they offer the cheapest rate in KL area for me.

Yeah trying to maximize my trip, but it also depends on my itinerary. Have to see if I have the time to visit all the places. From what I can see now a round trip to Jeju costs about RM500. I am planning to fly Busan-Jeju then Jeju-Seoul.
*
they have sales from time to time. previously i got mine for around RM300 using the route you state - Busan - Jeju - Seoul

Thank you for the information  smile.gif
Thank you for the information  smile.gif  As I was thinking of hiking Mt. Halla, renting a car would be a bit redundant as I won't be driving much. I will definitely consider renting a car should my itinerary change to cover more attractions.

May I know if anyone has tried hiking Mt. Hallasan (ascending from Gwaneumsa and descending from Seongpanak)? May I know if there are any taxi services that could bring me to the Gwaneumsa trail entrance?
*
i took the Seongpanak trail to top n down due to extreme tired/unprepared well/ wrong shoe.
Gwaneumsa is abit more challenging according to the guide, but will provide you difference scenery. If you able to, go both route for up and down.
and yes, taxi will be able to get you up to either trail, but you need to book a cab if so. i move out 4am from the town and reach Seongpanak entrance at around 5am, to start our journey on time and not to get halau back if not enough time to reach the peak.

There is entrance/allowable time for hikers, please study it well as different time for different season.

is it true that ppl are chg from myr > usd > won? im getting bit headache lol..will be travelling on oct
*
i'm one of the person did that. i change around 1k USD on top of MYR RM4k to WON at m'sia.
this is due to my journey route, hence i rather take some USD than alot of WON at one time.
depends on the day you exchange your USD to WON @ Korea, you might gain some biggrin.gif (but its a risk/bet)

I'm planning to ascend via Gwaneumsa and descend via Seongpanak due to transportation woes (read that it is harder to find public transportation at Gwaneumsa). I plan to start hiking at 6.00 am so that I could get to the summit before the time limit. While I regular exercise, I hope to be able to finish the hike in 7-7.5 hours but I have 2 friends who are physically unfit as they seldom exercise sad.gif

I would like to ask about the bus interchange terminal in Seogwipo as I couldn't find much information about it. May I know if I could board the airport limousine bus 600 the opposite way (heading towards airport) but alight at the stops near attractions?
*
i used 13 hrs to end my hiking at 6pm......due to unfit friend...somemore lady.... yawn.gif
and get some real hiking shoe (thick base), the small stone at the beginning is your enemy in the end.....

3.17 is the cheapest I've seen. Everywhere is selling 3.22 to 3.26.
Anyone knows else where which offer cheaper rates? smile.gif
*
MV, in front of BB plaza and inside Ampang Park mall.
these 3 is my choice to exchange $$. but i favor MV, if can go. if lazy i'll juz change at BB plaza there.

wta, if, lets say if, touch wood, MAS airline went bankrupt, the air-ticket will juz become toilet paper?
bcoz of this, i get Korean Air (round trip) instead which is juz <RM400 different than MAS (go by MAS, back by Korean Air).

not sure wanna climb mount hallasan again or not on november. afraid of slippery rock - snow? hmm.gif
and this time have 4D3N to visit the whole south and east part of jeju!!!
can't wait to use all my facial product n go sapu again!! wub.gif tongue.gif

hopefully mas wount go bankrupt..they should just privatized it  so that no more taxpayers money loss
i would love to try korean air someday..bit pricey though
btw i just booked one way ticket (jeju-seoul) jeju air just for 19500 won.. thumbup.gif
return ticket is expensive so have to wait for another promo
*
mas just went privatize.
there's a way to try korean air cheaper, is by getting from MAS, but its under sharing code. hence 1 way by Korean air and the another way by MAS airline.
the price for my travel period is around RM19xx (<Rm1950).

hi all, going to south korea soon ... which is better for currency exchange, change to usd (later to won in korea) or won in msia?
*
i guess depends on luck or you are calculative enough to get gain on exchange.
for me. i change RM3k to Won & 1K USD cash in hand to change in Korea if require. (i ignore gain/loss as its not material enough to impact my spending) smile.gif
QUOTE(tyj82 @ Aug 24 2014, 02:28 AM)
Guys. i plan to go Korea in 20th - 30th Oct.
Do you think it is too late to start planning now ? Have not book anything or plan on anything.

Basic
Seoul 4D3N
Busan 3D2N
Jeju 4D3N ?too many days ?

Which ski area should i go ? near Seoul.... because i plan go ski only last few days so if injury will not affect the trip .

Incheon -> Seoul
Seoul -> Train to Busan
Busan fly to Jeju
Jeju fly to gimpo then Incheon..
*
just a suggestion :
KL - Busan - Jeju - Seoul.
unless you plan to try the bullet train, its fine smile.gif its good for first time experience but definitely not 2nd as the 3 hr trip Seoul to Busan is kinda time wasting for me.
and end of October already got snow and available for skiing?
try to climb Mount Hallasan while you got 4 Days there. its a good experience and satisfied trip to peak.

For Jeju, town area i'll recommend December Hotel which is quite cheap and the room is really nice.
For myself, i get my first 3 night at Memory In Jeju at Seongwipo city and 4th night at Hotel December to get to airport/return car easily on the next day. This is because I have visited West side of Jeju previously and East side for this year trip.

My booking fee for both place as below:
December Hotel - KRW 55k per night
Memory in jeju - Double Room - KRW 352800 for 3 Nights
Seoul - Suitcasers Hotel - MYR 918.03

wta, for those that take Korean Airline before.
Is it true that only 1 pieces of baggage allowed for check-in?
and its not like AA where it shall be under the total KG (no matter how many pieces).

would like to take precaution and avoid last minute packing at the check-in counter (return).

Then, they found out that shin rameon in Korea contains pork.
Then, they start to eat bread only.. After that, realize that the bread was made using rice wine. sweat.gif
