Pls forgive me if i post my question in this thread.

I am totally newbie and want to learn how to overclock CPU.
I find so many usefull thread here, so many new things to me.

Straight to the point,

I need advice and recommendation step by step by GURU here,

I've old ACER ASPIRE 4530 laptop but still ok. Below is DETAILS INFORMATION of CPU-Z and Tech GPU-Z information :

















My question is how do i start and is it worth to overclock AMD - Turion X2 RM-74?
Also i want to overclock my 4GB DDR2 RAM.
Is it possible to overclock two Different type of DDR2 RAM at the same time?
2GB DDR2 CORSAIR 2GB DDR2 KINGMAX

I could not find unlock COMMAND in BIOS to adjust CPU frequency. Pls anyone can help?

you cant overclock a notebook....zilch...

Just a problem is i do not know how to go unlock acer bios

can overclock... easiest using amd overdrive... but... y do u want to risk frying ur cpu?

laptop cooling is limited as it is...

I cannot use amd overdrive because mobo using nvidia chipset.

Actually, i want to buy new laptop. Before buying new one i want to experiment OC on this lappy.
That's y need GURU here teach me how to do it. Maybe good cooler master can help a bit on cooling my system.

The problem is now only for me to find the key to unlock BIOS.

They overclock this processor with a socket adaptor on a desktop motherboard....not on a notebook

This is one of the problematic notebooks.
Problematic CPU and GPU.
Forget about overclocking it.

TQ Guys for informing me,

i realize this processor is running very hot even is no oc done.
Temp constant at the range 0f min 70c until 87c!

i only can oc the GPU stable to avg 69c 77c with GPU 585Mhz Memory 865Mhz Shader 1430Mhz.
this lappy can still serve me playing online dota with good latency.



Cancel OC the CPU
