Been looking around, but no clear info so asking this here.
My hood has a 6" vent with a valve going up. I tried installing a 6" duct, but it doesn't fit outside the vent. Inside the vent I will need to fold it a bit since the diameter of the duct is exactly the same as the vent. How do I approach this? Do I lay the duct meeting the lip of the vent then tape it? Or do I get a bigger duct, place it over the vent and then tape it? I hope the experts in here understand what I mean. The vent has a slightly thicker lip, and it doesn't fit the standard 6" aluminum ducts. |
