Hi hi. I have a dilemma and hoping to ask for some opinions.

I'm renovating my kitchen now and I have originally settled on the Fujioh 9220 recycle hood. I didn't realize the hood is much deeper (55cm) and as i'm tall (178cm), our designer told me that the hood has to be very high otherwise i'll knock my head on it when cooking.

If i want this hood, this means the height from the worktop to the hood will need to be even higher - at the max height of 850mm as per the Fujioh installation guide.

Note: Our kitchen is open, and not near the window and i chose this model because I read the suction is good. My in-laws are using the Fujioh 1990 and I felt it's ok~.

My dilemma is
1. i'm wondering if this 'hole' will damage the sides of my cabinets quicker overtime since the fumes travels over those surfaces often
2. If i need to replace this hood in the future and there's no more 9220, i will have to revert to the standard slim model (it's shorter in height also), and it will be too high for this cabinet layout.


Appreciate any thoughts and if i need to use the standard slim hood (recycle), what is a good replacement.
