Folks, I am planning to buy a kitchen hob (stove) but my current kitchen top is made of concrete. How hard is it to drill a hole so that the hob can sit nicely on it?

For electric hob, is there really a need to have a non-sharing power? How many of you using electric hob have non-sharing one?
