If you plan to put in-line booster fan, just make sure the hood you use can get rid of the oil vapor before entering the via duct. Otherwise, the fan will accumulate oil in long run. That airegard is not designed for that, I believe. It is for pure air circulation.

Maybe you can just try without it first. It might just work without additional boost since air is not much of a load anyway. The performance drop might be not that significant. Which Fotile model you were looking at?

Just get those 1' normal exhaust fan will do. Panasonic, khind etc. Cheaper to replace. The oil will degrade the plastic fan blade after few yrs. Unless you clean it frequently. Or look for the metal fan blade. This exhaust fan is design for oil protect.

I think Zan81 was talking about the an in-duct fan booster, not the normal exhaust fan put on the wall

When the duct meet with the wall, you can just put a exhaust fan there.

You can use in-duct fan booster. But check with the noise. Not mistaken, it is a bit noisy.

Just brought 1 of this 4" in-duct fan 12vdc. Haven't try it out how noisy is it.

hello all,

Any good recommendation of a built-in domino ceramic hob? All the brands that I had seen, the prices are at least 1.4K and above. A portable ceramic hob only costs around 200-400. Any cheaper recommendation, guys?

Hello all.
We will moving to house with open kitchen concept.

Since we are heavy kitchen user(At least twice daily) Is it enough just to install high quality hob to avoid unwanted smell and oil stain through dining and living room without any divider? If yes please recommend me quality hood efficiently to do the job. Thanks

Mine also open concept, using Fotile JQG 9009 and it is very good. Just remember to close the windows while cooking or else the smell will get back into your house

The end cover look quite nice already. Is it doesn't blend to your condo look?

You can try to camouflage it by paint it to your condo exterior color.

Hi Zheiwane,

Is the hob okay to put on a melamine board kitchen cabinet?

Is it strong enough to support?

Or it has to be concrete top? appreciate your advice.

my family do quite heavy cooking everyday also.

Melamine is just the cabinet, table top usually is Granite, Quartz or Solid Surface which is OK. I m using Melamine for my base cabinet for 2 years, still like brand new

Hi Master here. Fortile and Senz & Rubine which better? I plan to look for a Retractable Hood with ceramic hob. Any recommended brand?

We are not really a heavy cooker, maybe just weekend for lunch or bfast.

From my comparison between Senz and Fotile. Both also using Scott Ceran Ceramic Glass (Germany) and E.G.O heating element ) Germany. They are quite identical but hood definite FOTILE is the best smile.gif
