I have few questions for Fotile hood and hob.

What is the distance between two burners for hob model GAG86210?

What is the distance between two burners for hob model GAG76202?

Will the 3D ionized air curtain for hood model EH10BQ works properly to prevent airborne grease to escape from cooking space if the pan exceeds the footprint of air curtain?

I think this answers your question.

I used to have EH10BQ hood (now changed to JQG9009) while my hob is GCG 90301 it is wider than GAG 86210 and we do not have problem with it.

The distance between hob to the wall need to follow the installation manual?
The manual recommend that the distance shall be 75 mm or more.
The problem is the kitchen top is 600 mm and does not have much clearance for the hob (GAG86210), which is 500 mm width.

Well standard installation height is 750mm from table top.

Standard table top is 600mm, the hob is 500mm, shouldnt have any problem

Thanks for your help.
Can you help to check this manual:
http://www.fotile.com.my/pdf/User_Manual/GA_series.pdf

In page 8, Figure 9-3, the side view shows that the hob needs to stay away 75 mm from the wall. Do I need to follow this dimension?
Can I let the glass of hob to touch the skirting of table top without having this 75 mm gap?

Also, need to check with kitchen cabinet contractor whether there is any space limitation for the wood frame underneath the table top. I assume they can cut a bit to suit the hob.

The cut out hole is away 75mm from wall not the hob. The reason why they recommend 75mm is in case your WOK is big, it wont be blocked by the wall.

As per my photo, my wok is kinda near the wall (mine 65 mm) if you make less than 65mm you cant use a wok of my size (42cm diameter).

Btw, mine is GCG 90301 but the cut out is same as GAG 86210 and glass is also 500mm, just my width is 900mm while GAG 86210 is 860mm. Prefer GCG over GAG for the easy cleaning design and black color design that matches well with my cabinet and hood. I have been using it about 2 years and it still look so clean and nice smile.gif The new 2015 facelifted GCG 90301 looks even nicer smile.gif

Kitchen cabinet contractor confirms the cut out hole size for Fotile hob GAG86210 can be fitted to table top and it will not interfere with the underneath wooden frame. Thanks for your help, zheilwane.

Just the normal 1, low gas pressure one. Ask the salesperson when you are buying it is kinda standard bt some comes with insurance cost rm 100 while some as cheap as rm 20

Anyone knows of the latest promo available any where? I missed the last one at that expo in Shah Alam and PWTC due to outstation.  My budget not very high ~RM1500 but can stretch a bit.  Recycling hood type and will not be doing heavy duty cooking.

Hi Zheilwane,

Will you be participating at the Renovation Expo at PWTC?

I'm looking for kitchen appliances.
Was using Lebensstil before. No too bad. But the oven was so so only.

What would you recommend?

Thanks.

Nope, not joining this time. Actually the best exhibition is still homedec, more varieties and better bargain. Well, i m selling Fotile and Rubine but i m using Fotile JQG 9009 Hood and GCG 90301 hob, while oven KES 6003a all works very well. Previously i was using EH10BQ, performance is great as well.

Hi Zheilwane,

Was at the PWTC exhibition. And I agree with you. Nothing much there.
But I can't wait for homeDec. Might check out the exhibition in Setia Alam next week.

Cheers.
