Kitchen HOOD

There are so many brands in the market, Electrolux, Elba, Rubine, Tuscani, Faber, Teka, Fotile, Whirlpool, Rinnai, Cornell, Bosch, Tellini, Lebenstill, Leben, Fujioh, Ikka, Pacific, Pacifica, Vees and many more. So which one of them is the best? Here is a discussion after reading and doing your own research, you decide which is the best.

Most end users will think that a good hood is a hood with strong suction power but that is not 100% true.
A good kitchen hood should have :
1) A good filter system with oil cup
2) Easy to clean & maintain
3) Reasonable strong suction power (1000m3/h and above)
4) Low noise level

1) A good filter system with oil cup

Here is a comparison between aluminum mesh filters vs pyramid shape filters

I will update more info everyday, do not have time to explain everything in one day.

You got to try and also compare. No hood will suck all the oil and smell. Fotile is good but not the best as some marketer here boost about.

Air blow out is mixture if air and bit of oil. The internal hood will be oily and need to clean regular if cook frequent.

DONT BUY VEES BRAND! their service is suck!
I hv bought their delicooker to my mum...it takes ONE HOUR to boil a kettle of water. When i complaint to their CS, they sent a technician n brought the item back to check. When returned back the cooker to me, it's not repair at all! The technician told me this is normal for electric cooker to take one hour to cook the water, don expect fast. Somemore, he ask me to let the cooker "warm up" for 5min before put the kettle on...so, i did that, yet, the result is still the same. Of cos i complaint again to their CS, this round the CS passed the line to their Malay in store technician. The guy told me he has inspected the unit together with his superior and no problem at all...he said he can boil the water easily in 20min..20min, listen carefully ya..this 20min he mean is for 1litre only. So, Vees expect their customers to boil few rounds at least in a day OR to use a super mini kettle to boil it!
I complaint to their FB on this, they totally ignore my post without any apology. And, i checked today my post has been removed from their wall post. Not only that, they have "unfriend" me in their FB!
what a suck after sales service from Vees! My advise to all the electric cooker buyers, DONT BUY VEES!
Super lousy product!

just bought my kitchen hob and hood from 18 Electrical Shop in pj two weeks ago. they charged me rm3140 after much negotiation (and had to pay cash) . next day i went to another shop just to ask for price and they gave me rm2700! the same model! without negotiating!! i was pissed so i went back to 18 Electrical shop and asked them nicely why is theirs so expensive so the fella who sold it to me (alvin) said that if im able to produce a receipt at rm2700, they will refund me the difference -.- so i said ok fine i asked my sister (who is moving house also) to buy the exact same model. took her receipt and gave it to alvin, and he said he will ask his superior first (Pls note that he already agreed to refund me the difference initially when i questioned him).

then i got a call from him supposed superior, shouting at me and scolding me saying that if i buy sth expensive from pasar malam will i be able to get a refund???and didnt give me a chance to speak at all!!! omg i was shocked!! how can anyone be so rude wtf

even though i do not believe that this 'superior' is indeed alvin's superior, i think this shop is a total hoax!! never going to buy from this shop already.

GONNA BAN TOTALLY 18 ELECTRICAL SHOP. NOT ONLY FOR ITS PRICE, BUT THE RUDE AND ROWDY SALESPEOPLE THERE. WITH SUCH MANNERS, DO NOT EXPECT AFTER-SALES SERVICE FROM THEM!

Hi
Sorry to hear that but the key point is should be survey 1st before buy. But good for us to banned this shop 👎👎

Hi,

Would like to ask if electrolux or Tuscani [ITALY] cooker hood and hob are worthy to buy?
Is the service good if they got broken?

Thanks.

That's a pro-cook there (wo)manning 3 burners simultaneously whereas my wifey can just manage 1 burner only.

Isnt that great rclxms.gif we close shop at 6pm but we still get to have our dinner by 7pm. My mom prepares the ingredients at night, with the 3 burners and strong flame power, she is able to cook several dishes at the same time smile.gif
