Just wondering, is it better to have a free standing cooker or the separate oven and hob?
Anyone can comment?

Getting the separate set,
1. you no need to have a dedicated "hole" for your all in one set.
2. you no need to squat down to take something, always squat down are good for giving business to doctors.
3. cost always much more higher comparing to buy separate.

Why you need such a combination?

Both are using electric. Nothing special. And electric hob are waste energy.

That's right, considering Malaysia's LPG quality, I'll get decent burner that cost rm50-100 and call it the day.
Not to mention cleaning also.

Good quality LPG should gives you blue fire all the time till finish.
But only first 10-30% blue fire, then become yellow(sign of incomplete combustion).

Should be ok. Mine will be in the same condition.
What is exhausted should be just heat, smell, and maybe a bit of smoke. The oil particles should already be trapped by your hood's oil filter
