Sorry to bother you again, but if I were to hide the power plug inside the hood/tubing/casing, how far should the socket be from this hole? I don't intend to build a fake cabinet to cover the piping, just using the existing covering that comes with the hood itself.

1) 760mm for a 3 burners is a waste of money, just get two burners as it is too narrow. Even a 860mm hob cant really use the middle burner if u r using a wok on the left or right burner

2) Cant c clearly the photo bt i think the center part of the burner is OPEN and not fully seal design, hence water or dirt can go into the hob

add 15% - 20% to your budget, can still get a decent fotile hood + hob.

For budget and less usage, RUbine boxline2 + pepper2b

how do you guys route the wiring for electrical hob & oven on kitchen table and cabinet?

i know where to put the switch for them, but there still need to have a route for the internal wirings from the hob & oven to the switch.

i'm thinking somewhere near the oven & hob but hidden below the table/cabinet but still can be easily accessed to wire them up. so do i pull concealed wires to near where the hob & oven are drill a hole for wire to go into the cabinet then wire up to a small electrical box inside the cabinet beneath and wire them up?

what locations should i avoid for heat & potential spills? hob & oven heat comes from back or sides?

just wondering where does the heat from oven dissipates.

hob, usually the heat vents are directly at bottom of the hob?

the wires need any extra protection?

oven is insulated and heat dissipates from the front (above the oven door) hence it wont b hot bhind of the oven

i figure typical 2 slot hob require 3kW (13.5A) combined and 4 slot hob around 6-7kW (32A), if i pull a 6mm2 wire to a 32A MCB and use a 32A switch, would it be too much for the 2 slot hob? plan to install a 2 slot hob but want future proof in case. coz if i do the 3kW hob will be protected by a 32A MCB which maybe too high?

or do i run the cables & switch as per 32A requirements and put a 20A MCB 1st (and risk the chance of forgetting it's a 20A MCB when i upgrade)?

for oven, average won't be over 20A right?

for hood installation, how to determine if wall coring is required? or do simple wall hack (which is inclusive in the hood installation) is sufficient for most house?

Looking for new hood and to my surprise, China brand like Fotile, Robam, can be more pricey than Germany brand like Teka, are Fotile and Robam worth the price?

BTW, anyone tried Teka Linear? It is made in China cater for lower end market, wonder how it performs.

Oh, I came across Midea too, very cheap compare to Fotile and Robam.

Why even coring? usually just rim a hole for exhaust.
