Can anyone recommend recirculating hood for me as my house is impossible to do ducting for my kitchen.

Is this model Firenzzi FH-902 is good? Suction Power : 1490m³/hr ? Will it be noisy ?

Most slim hood has low suction 400-800m3/h, as it is slim, the hood is unable to install big motors like the ones used in a Chimney hood. I double this slim hood can really perform 1490m3/h. Dont blindly trust figures in catalog as suction power alone does not represent performance.

Common Reason why slim hoods are no good
1) Low suction : but in this case this model can do 1490m3/h which is strong but dont know how accurate this figure is. How to tell? Turn on the hood and feel the air pressure blowing out from it and compare with a chimney hood that has similar suction power or lower. If the air blowing out from the slim hood is much weaker than you will know the figure is not accurate.

2) Mesh filter : Easy to get clogged and require regular cleaning like 2 days once to prevent oil clogging the filter and reducing performance

3) Circulated air blowing directly to the user as per photo. Chimney hoods blow straight up facing the ceiling or side ways not to the user

That's the reason why I reluctant to use glass although it look nice and easier to clean. But then now you hardly can find stainless steel hobs. Most of the new one are now glass.

As your second link implied, the hob is leaking. Nothing to do with glass top or not

problem is, malaysia there is no gov body to check the catalog spec. I bliv many of us purchased some items and that catalog figures look good but when use it is totally different. For example, i purchase my car tint 3 - 4k with 97% IRR rejection, mana tau the result is +- the same as my cheap tint for my proton saga which only cost me RM 600+

GCG 90201 and GAG 86210 has the same cut out size. GAG win in terms of flame power  but GCG win in terms of easy cleaning, durability, scratch resistant drip pan, sturdy star shape wok support, dual low flame control and etc smile.gif
Tested GCG is even stronger than some brands with 5.3kW

EH13 is the most basic hood under fotile, if you wan to go for design and performance, JQG 9009 will be a better choice. Look, it is even sucking in the steam from the rice cooker even it is not directly under the hood

Can you quote me for fotile JQG9009S?

Thanks

Manage to grab the Fotile hob and hood from Builders Hardware end Dec to enjoy the free gifts and extended warranty. Not to mention the good price from Zean. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

And "sapu" more bathroom items and taps from him too with further discounts. A patient and nice young guy to deal with. Helped me check and clean the towel hangers, pillar taps, glass shelf, S/S sink etc. Left the shop 8pm++, though they close at 6pm.. No grumble there thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Went there again this week to grab the Elleci granite sink! A very good deal I would say after surveying around few shops! icon_rolleyes.gif

For more discounts and goodies, you have to contact him! Sure good pricings thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif

From what i was told GEMELLO high suction 1600 is actually bcoz it has two motors and each motor is 800m3/h while fotile is 1150 and turbo 1450m3/h.

However comparing suction power alone is not sufficient, you have to consider the aerodynamic built design inside the hood as well. 1 thing is for sure, with two motors operating at max 1600m3/h the hood gonna be noisy. Performance wise, Fotile JQG9009s is definitely proven to be good, used by many forumers and can c lots of videos and feedback online

Any idea where should the electrical wires be at for Rubine hood and oven? Is it at the centre or bottom of the unit?

The electrician will be concealing these wires so I am trying to get the right location/spot for them.
