Chineny hoods are definitely better than slim hood.
Few things you need to consider before buying

1) is the width of your slim hood 900mm now? Most chimney hood's width is 900mm, if your slim hood is smaller than you cant install a chimney hood or need to find a smaller one.

2) can you hack a 6 or 7" duct hole at the wall or window and also inside your cabinet or above plaster ceiling to hide the ducted hose. If cant then you need to get a recycle chimney hood.
*
Why are chimney better than slim hood?? Is it the suction power? Wouldn't slim hood's double motor compensates on the suction power ability? Kinda not expert in this please advise.
1) Yes, it is 900mm

2) The problem is I want to avoid hacking the ceiling (due to low height) or change my cabinet, as previous slim hood duct were all done in the cabinet. Can the chimney hood duct be installed as in this picture?

How about the existing user of Fotile JQG 9009? Do we get the free upgrade as well?  biggrin.gif

I am quite satisfied with this model so far. I always wish that if the filter is removable for cleaning would be perfect.

Currently, I had to spray the cleanser to the filter when cleaning which makes me feel psychologically the filter inside has never been cleaned.  sweat.gif

existing user cannot change to removable. i m using the older version as well. few months spray 1 time cleaner lo, not too hard.

Good things Fotile listens to customers feedback and keep on improve their products smile.gif

1) Slim hood two motors but 1 outlet only, wont this cause bottle neck and smoke would not be able to be extracted smoothly? Many more, just drop by my showroom and i will explain the details. If you are using a slim hood now, you will know how effective it is and its disadvantages.

2) Fotile JQG9009 most probably yes but will need to make the hole bigger (7") current hole is 6". Will need detail measurements of cabinet and high from table top to cabinet to make sure we can install the hood as well. These will take time to discuss as well. Measure the details then we can discuss in my shop later

I recorded this video using only my hanhdpone at home, this is 100% real not like advertisement in TV where it is edited and etc.

Read back all the posts in this and other threads, Fotile EH10BQ has been my best seller since 7-8 years ago. Upto date, there is only one customer complain in the forum regarding warranty issue which i already resolved for him within 30 min after he had given me his details and got his hood fixed for free since it is under warranty smile.gif

in this thread, page1 year 2013 you can see some of genuine customer feedback

Hi Zheilwane,

I'm a bit confuse which hod is suitable for my house whether rubine or fotile. As my old glass hob had been broken. Cut out demention is 71 L X 41 W (cm). If can I would like to use type 3 burner. I'm prefer a good quality and got safety function. My budget will be around rm1k

71cm is too small for a 3 burner. Dont, think u will be able to use 3 burners at the same time, the middle one will definitely b blocked by your pot/wok on the left or right burner.

RUBINE ASSALTO2B will be suitable

Hi guy,

I would like to move my hob from the original place to yard.

After removed the hob, there will be one large hole on the table top.

May i know, besides changing a new table top, is there any alternative to cover the hole??

These two models performance is definitely good but i do advise you to look at the actual unit and try to imagine how you gonna maintain/clean them.

Go have a look at these actual models then drop by my shop and compare with Fotile JQG 9009 + GCG 90301 smile.gif

Been approached by their salesperson before, after comparing spec and price wise is comparable to RUBINE. Since it is comparable not cheaper or better, we prefer to sell RUBINE which has been established long in malaysia. Why wanna take risk to buy a newer brand that has no competitive advantage?

Just curious...how did the glass break? Thought it is tempered glass and should withstand some force and heat as well.

Since the design is inner flame, there is chance that food/soup can get into the hob, making it impossible to clean unless u remove the glass. Though there is a removable cup at the bottom, i still think it is possible that thing can get to the side and into the hob. Look at the hob again and imagine if your soup overflow into it, what and where you need to wipe?

Just recorded this video, since i m using Fotile GCG 90301, i can comment more and demo it smile.gif
