Is there any Lego Monopoly set in market?
*
QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Jan 19 2014, 10:19 AM)
Considering Monopoly is a property of rival toy company (Hasbro) ,  nope.

however, LEGO have its range of boardgames-like products in the market:

News of X-men Cyclops and the jet Blackbird!!!

"Legoevilelmo on Eurobricks is reporting that he has seen another new X-Men in this year’s LEGO Marvel X-Men set and that is Cyclops. They are also reporting that not only will Cyclops be in the set, he will also be piloting the Blackbird. This is in addition to what we’ve reported last week for this particular set. Currently, we now have Cyclops in addition to Magneto, Storm, Wolverine in his brown costume, a Sentinel, as well as the Blackbird. More details as they become available. - See more at: http://www.thebrickfan.com/#sthash.K1jajCKK.dpuf"

Anyone have use Eneloop XX with Technic or Mindstorms before? Is the battery good?
*
i just have my eneloop white color battery (not XX)... the XX is more expensive than white color...

however i open the package and use the batteries for testing my RC and until now still got power so i dunno is it good or not... (i still have not test the charger yet)

i have test my eneloop at 42009 mobile crane MKII... in my own opinion, the power slightly less than the non rechargeable... (i compare with energizer)

The white is 2000mAh but the XX is 2500mAh hope it will be more power. Thanks for the info  smile.gif
*
but i think the power is by the voltage, which is same for both, while mAh is capacity, xx will use longer time than white before need to recharge hmm.gif (please correct me if any mistaken biggrin.gif )

Yup, you are right, it is more to voltage not the capacity. I checked that the eneloop have 1.2v only. Maybe will search for another brand. Thanks  smile.gif
*
haha laugh.gif just share it here if u found any other brand is good...

QUOTE(tanghm @ Jan 24 2014, 09:26 AM)
All NiMH rechargeable batteries are rated as 1.2V. A freshly charged NiMH is 1.4V though but will drop to 1.2V quickly.
Eneloop is famous because it is a low discharge rechargeable battery, which means if you store the battery after some time it still has some juice in it.
*
yeah, that's why i choose eneloop... can keep the power for long time...

QUOTE(altaf_hoho @ Jan 24 2014, 10:02 AM)
You are right, I think that is why the eneloop are not recommend for Lego, they are good at long endurance but not for high power demand device.

Do you have any recommendation for rechargeable battery that is good for Mindstorms?
*
hmm.gif maybe rechargeable battery is slightly less power for Lego...
i test my eneloop on my 42009 and it struggle to raise and extend the crane...
but i think it should be fine for those not power demand build...

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Jan 24 2014, 04:56 PM)
Very busy recently, did not browse/read much. Skip some pages and saw this.

But you are right.

Both white and XX (even the Lite) version, all output at 1.2V
The different mAh (milli-amp hour) means how long it can slowly release at 1.2V for a longer time.
Bigger means the battery can last longer.
*
thanks again for the info biggrin.gif
if i'm not mistaken, the eneloop Lite is lower mAh than the white...

That's why need to budget and plan properly.  Prioritize purchases when to buy and when to hold off.

My nostalgic haul over the weekend towards my castle / kingdom collection ...

Those are sets where the more you resist, the more rare it gets the higher the price gets.

biggrin.gif looks like better get it first before the price become higher and higher laugh.gif

A glimpse of a few from the 2014 list.  And the Technic Volvo is a big construction truck ... not a car.  whistling.gif

Yes, you should if you are into the castle / kingdom, medieval themes stuff.

Somehow the off road and on road technic vehicles are more appealing to me.  Construction sets, hmmm ... is debatable.  Unless its heavilly discounted,  probably I'll get it otherwise nehh.  If I had Rm750 to get the XXL Mobile Crane, I would get something else maybe a Racer Enzo or GTB.  Or the older technic trucks.
*
luckily i'm not into castle / kingdom but more on technics biggrin.gif
the two technic sets (yellow color and red color) looks very interesting to me especially the red one seems like with suspension... and i like the yellow with RC if i'm not mistaken...
