I read somewhere can noe the battery life but still can find the gauge on the dashboard. anyway it's very useful.

You should be able to see it. Play a game, then pull out the Guide and look at the top left corner of the screen

it doesnt look like a battery gauge on crappy old tv with composite, i thought it was some decorative dot . only realized it when i hooked up to VGA. the gauge is there even if u use AAs, only less precise than the MS battery i guess.

QUOTE(Merdeka @ Jun 30 2006, 04:03 PM) red dot light turn green once fully charged. i've never used a PnC kit before, id like to ask where is this red/green dot? on the PnC connector to the controller side or is it the controller ring of light itself? anybody tried the Datel PnC kit before? how is it compared to the microsoft one? does the battery gauge work properly on this one? When you see your controller guide button keep blinking like it's like emergency...you know you are running low on juice.
I am in love with the play & charge kit as well, definitely a good investment.

It is red when charging. and remember dont try to take out the PC battery pack he he like I did
