AMD is doomed. Having cold bug isnt good. Intel will dominate all the market segment with Core 2. Netburst has given Intel a good lesson and Intel will not repeat the same mistake twice. What AMD can do now is to survive as far as possible and hope for another great mistake like NetBurst.
Hoping for a mistake on ur competitors architecture is as good as packing up and "gulung tikar" 
AMD have their own new architecture coming up, 2008 according to their roadmap. I believe that that is when AMD can challenge for the performance crown again.
